The sound of the battle on the grasslands was too much. Arach took flight into the stratosphere. The clouds underneath him were a comforting sight, they hadn't changed more than they ever had. But now there was noise up here. It was as if there was a million bees buzzing in his ear and a thousand crickets in chorus on his back.
Off in the distance Arach saw an object. It was so slow and it did not flap its wings, he didn't understand how it could stay in the air. As he sped past it, he was able to see inside of it! It had dozens of eyes into its body and inside of it were the monkeys without tails! The ones who had changed so much of his world. He turned around and began gliding next to it. He prepared to spit his fire at the metal beast of the monkeys, when through one of the eyes he saw a small monkey. It took its paw and waved at him as the big ones shrieked in terror. Arach saw now that although the monkeys have changed the world it doesn't mean that the innocent must die. And so he kept pace with the metal beast for its flight.
When it landed Arach's world changed a new. The oasis that had once been here was now filled with monstrosities. It was the dead of night yet bright lights emanated from the thing before him. A sprawl of artificial mounds occupied the once peaceful desert. And small metallic beasts screeched through the night, honking and scrabbling. And the image of giant white tigers appeared on a screen over and over again. Arach became infuriated and destroyed a sign that said "Welcome to Las Vegas!" And he roared a challenge, a challenge to all kaiju and all the tailless monkeys, his goal in life is to save the world he once knew so that it is not lost entirely.
*(just clarifying "tailless monkey"= human)*

4 Days Ago Hakminra had awoken from a long rest. He hadn't done much since his last battle except explore. But now, after his slumber, he realized he had new powers. The gods must have given them to him as a gift. He tested out his new powers and very much thought that his bubble shields would prove very useful. His telekinesis flight power was also proving to be very useful for he was now flying over the ocean towards North America. Now Hakminra, coincidentally, arrived in the now coastal city of Las Vegas just in time to see the dragon that was Arach destroy the sign. As he viewed his surroundings, he noticed the Luxor casino. He viewed the building as an outstanding tribute to his homeland. He didn't want it to be destroyed by this dragon. He had to stop it from getting to it. He then summoned up a giant shield that covered half of the Vegas Strip. The shield stopped right in front of the Mirage casino, protecting such buildings as Caesar's Palace, MGM Grand, and of course the Luxor. Those casinos were safe, yet buildings such as Treasure Island, The Venetian, and the high and mighty Stratosphere tower were completely vulnerable. But that didn't matter to Hakminra, he just wanted his country's tribute to be safe. Hakminra ran around the shield to Arach and slammed his staff into the ground, challenging the dragon...

Arach spun on to see his foe and was surprised at first. He had never seen such a creature before, but there was no time for him to observe it, it had challenged him. Hakminra stood there, as if a guardian to the monkeys. Arach galloped towards Hakminra and jumped over him to land behind him. He quickly headbutted Hakminra in the back, causing him to merely stumble forward.
Hakminra caught himself with his staff and spun around to bash away Arach's currently incoming bite, Arach tumbled away momentarily and jumped back into several buildings, flattening them. Hakminra's staff was now a sword prepared to defend off Arach. Arach ran towards Hakminra and leaped with both paws open grabbing the flats of the staff-sword between them and kicking off of Hakminra's body, only to be kicked as he skittered away.
Arach took flight seemingly to run, but soon returned. He flew faster and faster. It was obvious from the distortions in the air that he was going at super sonic speed, right towards Hakminra...

Hakminra stood with his staff, a spear now, pointed straight at the incoming Arach. There was an impact. The spear impaled Arach's shoulder, and Arach smashed into Hakminra, knocking him over and sending flying backwards into the shield. This gave Hakminra a nasty headache. As Arach recovered, Hakminra used telekinesis to pull his staff out of the dragon.
Hakminra turned the staff into a bludgeon. As Arach shot a flamethrower, Hakminra flew up into the air and got hit by it. Hakminra was only scorched a little, but was in minoor pain. The dragon looked up as the burning Egyptian rapidly descended, the bludgeon in a striking position. Arach suddenly got smashed over the head, drawing blood and knocking him down for a bit.
The staff was now a sword again. Hakminra delivered a few short slices to the dragon's back, not doing much damage. As Arach was down, Hakminra went to look for something that would deliver a lot of damage. He ran around the shield, and looked at the casinos. Hakminra found something, and he was back to Arach in aboout fifteen seconds.
Hakminra had the pirate ship from the front of the Treasure Island casino. He had it held over his head, his staff on the ground. Hakminra was ready to smash it over Arach...

Hakminra drew back the ship to gain more power in his thrust. Suddenly Arach's eyes and maw snapped open. He released a Sonic Roar causing Hakminra to stumble backwards and release his hold on the ship, and it fell onto him. Hakminra was not so easily dissuaded from fighting and pulled himself up using Telekinesis to save time.
And when he oriented and was upright in a moment and with his staff now a battle-axe in hand ready to swing, Arach wasn't there but a hole in the ground was. Hakminra smirked and prepared to send a Flamethrower down the hole when Arach dropped from above literally sitting on top of Hakminra. However, Hakminra reacted quickly and blasted Arach off of him and into the sandy desert with the Flamethhrower he had already been prepared to release.
Arach then shot flame down on to the sand before him. The sand turned to glass quickly and Arach broke the glass with his uninjured foreleg(the other still healing from the spear wound.) He then proceeded to sweep the shards into the air with his tail, rising as he spun. In mid-turn he snapped his wings forward, sending the shards of glass flying towards Hakminra's face and body like a million swords...

Hakminra evaluated his situation extremely quickly. His staff quickly formed an armor plate that acted as a shield. This blocked half the shards. He used telekinesis to make the other half plop to the ground. Arach glared at Hakminra in disgust.
Hakminra was going for the ship again, when he was caught offguard by another sonic roar. This was making his headache worse. Hakminra would not be distracted by this, though. He picked up the ship and hovered over to Arach, dodging an incoming flamethrower. The ship was whipped at Arach, smashing him in the side and turning him over. The ship was now in two pieces.
Hakminra quickly ran up to Arach, putting his leg on his neck, holding him down. Hakminra picked up the front half of the ship as Arach struggled to be released, but alas could not escape. The front half was pounded onto Arach's head, drawing more blood from the bludgeon wound.
Arach was quick to react and flipped back over to knock Hakminra down with a ram. On the ground, Hakminra ripped the mast off the other half of the ship. His staff was now the sword yet again, and as Arach struck with his mouth, he delivered a combo. The sword cut Arach's jaw and the mast was jammed into the dragon's shoulder impalement wound.
Hakminra returned to his feet as Arach fidgeted with the mast. He prepared to blast the dragon with the Power of Ra...

The Power of Ra shot forth from Hakminra's staff. Arach jumping out of the way to be clipped in the tail and sent rolling through the sand. He dislodged the mast with his prehensile paw and threw it to the side, landing on some of the power lines, breaking them. Arach tested his ability to stand on his leg and found it annoyingly painful yet bearable. Arach heard Hakminra thundering through the sand with his staff, now a sword, raised high ready to strike Arach.
Arach let the lingering serpentine instincts of his ancestors take over and darted forward without using his legs and with his wings tucked in close, making him the smallest target he could be. Hakminra's slash was too far forward and suddenly he felt fangs digging into his lower leg. He began to shake it to throw Arach off, and he succeeded. However Arach was thrown into the air and he spread his wings like parachutes.
The moment his hind legs touched the ground, he tucked his wings in and sprang forward like a bullet. Headbutting into Hakminra's body and landing on top of him. His Sonic Roar shrieked into Hakminra's head, causing him to flail in reflex throwing Arach off onto his injured leg making Arach, in turn, cringe in pain. Arach rose to his feet and with Hakminra still on the ground from the Sonic Roar, Arach prepared a stream of flame in his throat to spew over Hakminra.

Hakminra found himself on fire. Although painful, Hakminra returned to his feet, still being burned. Hakminra looked at Arach, who had finished. The dragon prepared another flamethrower while Hakminra used telekinesis to pick up the other half of the ship. The dragon's fire was shot. The ship was being used as a shield. Hakminra was slowly backing Arach away as the fire was shot.
Hakminra threw the flaming ship aside only to realize that Arach had conveniently backed over a gas station. Hakminra quickly changed his staff to a torch. Arach, at the time, didn't know what the chimera was doing. Hakminra squirted some napalm at the station. Arach didn't realize that Hakminra had purposely missed him. But then there was an explosion, and Arach was thrown to the side, shrapnel impaling his right side.
Through the smoke, Arach was nowhere to be seen. Suddenly, the dragon pounced at Hakminra, only to be thrown off to the side. The throw didn't hurt Arach, but the next attack would. The Power of Ra was fired at Arach, causing him to fly through the Mirage casino, completely destroying it.
Hakminra walked through its remains to the downed Arach. He picked up the dragon by the head and dragged him over to the giant model volcano in front of the casino. Hakminra shoved Arach's head into the volcano, destroying its circuitry and causing it to react. The flames shot up like they would in a normal display for tourists, but this time they were being used as an attack.
Hakminra pulled Arach's head out who bit him in the arm. Hakminra shook it off and prepared to shove Arach back in the volcano...

Arach shook himself from the volcano's blast. He found himself unable to spit his flamethrower because of Hakminra's grip on him. He felt Hakminra begin to flex his muscles to shove him into the volcano once more. Arach quickly wrapped his recovering tail around Hakminra's leg and pulled, sending Hakminra under Arach. Arach inhaled for a roar and clamped down on Hakminra's head and screamed his Sonic Roar once more before Hakminra could react.
But Hakminra batted Arach off with his staff once more, which would have sent Arach flying, had he not still been clamped onto Hakminra's head. This merely flipped Hakminra on top of Arach, who then proceeded to kick his hind-legs and release his hold on Hakminra as he spasmed from the shrapnel in his side being shoved in, which ended with Hakminra up into the air.
Hakminra slowed his descent with his Telekinesis and then shot Flamethrower from his staff towards Arach. It blasted Arach back until he skidded into the bubble shield. Arach then ran forward grabbing a gas truck as he ran and threw it at Hakminra followed by a flamethrower hoping to recreate the effect of the gas station trick he saw before...

Hakminra swatted the truck to the ground with his staff. Arach's flamethrower hadn't reached the truck so there was no explosion. The flamethrower partially hit Hakminra, though, dealing at least some damage. Hakminra quickly picked up the truck and whipped back at Arach, who almost instantly swatted it into the volcano. The volcano's flames caused an explosion and destroyed the volcano, sending fragments everywhere. Arach blasted another sonic roar at Hakminra, who, in response, bent over holding his head. Arach jumped at Hakminra and got thrown away. Hakminra had recovered and the fight was now taking place in the Venetian's area. Hakminra dodged a flamethrower and turned his staff into a sickle. Arach jumped at the staff trying to grab it but Hakminra sidestepped him and caught his neck with the sickle. As Arach slid down the sickle was badly cutting his neck. Hakminra sprayed some napalm on the injured Arach, catching him on fire. The dragon roared in pain and rolled over, forgetting about the shrapnel. It dug into his side further as Hakminra approached. Hakminra turned his staff into a Warhammer. Arach roared in agony as the hammer struck his side, pushing the shrapnel in further. Arach was suddenly picked up by Hakminra, who was using all of his strength. Hakminra dragged Arach up into the air right over the hotel's Venice style tower. Hakminra let go of Arach. The dragon was falling. If he landed on the tower, its pointy roof would impale him... (Chaotic, if you have any questions about the different Las Vegas landmarks I'm using in this battle such as that tower or the volcano, I'd suggest googling them. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) )

As Arach fell, a plan struck him. He popped his wings open and flapped. He knew he had no time to take flight before landing, but he had enough time to move out of the way of the impending Venetian tower. Arach's shoulder injury had almost completely regenerated by now, with just an ache and a scab. And so Arach grabbed the tower meant to be a spear, broke off the top quarter of it and turned it into a club. And bashed Hakminra with it, before Hakminra could react.
Hakminra stumbled back and saw Arach charge towards him. Arach took flight and Hakminra recognized this from before. He quickly changed his staff to a spear and stood poised to re-incur Arach's shoulder wound. However, Arach remembered this and lashed his head out at the staff knocking it away from Arach's body.
Arach collided with Hakminra, and held onto him. He kept flying higher and higher, Hakminra unable to kick his way out of the dragon's hold. The flames induced by Hakminra were dying out as Arach rode the thermals into the thinner air of 10,000 feet. It strained him till he was about to fall. Then as if saying good bye he released a Sonic Roar into Hakminra's face. And he dove to the ground. At 2000 feet he let go and glided, leaving Hakminra to fall at the speed of sound...

Hakminra slowed his descent with telekinesis, but could not completely stop it. When he impacted, a small crater was formed, destroying several small buildings. There was a cloud of dust. As it cleared, Hakminra held on to his staff in front of him and slowly pulled himself up.
Hakminra searched the sky for Arach. Then, he heard something faint moving through the air. The noise was growing louder and louder whe suddenly Arach appeared behind Hakminra trying to breathe fire on him from the air. Hakminra's staff quickly changed to a sword and slashed Arach as he flew overhead. There was a large, deep cut going down his stomach. The pain finally reached the dragon and he crashed to the ground, skidding.
Hakminra ripped a large neon sign off of a building and dropped it on the ground. Hakminra walked over to Arach and held him up by the neck. The Power of Ra was fired and Arach went flying. The dragon landed on some cars.
Hakminra picked up the neon sign from over only to be hit by a sonic roar. He dropped the sign and held his head. Hakminra recovered, although there was still a painful ringing. He quickly ran over to Arach and shoved him into the artificial lake in front of Treasure Island. As Arach looked where he was standing and what Hakminra was holding, he realized what was going to happen just before it happened. Hakminra through the neon sign into the lake. This was basically just a giant toaster in a giant bathtub. Arach cringed up and roared as the electricuted lake continued to shock him. The cut he had on his stomach allowed the electricity to flow into his blood stream, doing horrible damage and causing tons of pain.
Arach plopped down and only looked as Hakminra pick up another sign...

Arach raised a paw prepared to smack the sign out of the way as he rose to his hind legs. Hakminra laughed as Arach rose in his pain. Then Arach flared his wings and began to spin on top of the water. The vortex began. His Cyclonic Vortex began to disturb the world around him, yet it was obvious that he was regenerating within. The water rose around him creating a whipping shield. Hakminra threw the sign at Arach but it merely was sucked in as a piece of the vortex.
Soon cars and chunks of buildings were part of the vortex. Hakminra then found himself part of the vortex. He couldn't see with sand being sucked in from the desert, blinding him. The sign and cars battered into him. He shot Napalm from his staff, only to find it shooting out towards the wrong side of the vortex. He stopped spinning beginning to tire and become disoriented.
Hakminra blinked the sand from his eyes(literally) and found himself bruised and battered. Suddenly He found himself looking a very angry dragon in its firey-copper eyes. To match the eyes, Arach released flamethrower straight into Hakminra's eyes and mouth. The flame traveled down his throat and singed his stomach and lungs.
Hakminra flared out his staff, trying to make it a sword and succeeding, yet only bashing Arach in the side with the flat of the sword. This sent Arach tumbling into the Stratosphere, which began to tilt and wobble. Hakminra stumbled forward and prepared a flamethrower to match Arach's only to find himself being charged at by the dragon. The dragon's mind was turned to rage, and with mouth spread wide the dragon clamped down on Hakminra's chest and prepared to burn the creature as much as possible...

Hakminra had the situation under control, for now at least. His staff was now his trustworthy spear again. As Arach clamped down, Hakminra used the spear.
The first strike impaled Arach in the chest going towards his shoulder, missing vital organs, but drawing lots of blood. Arach wouldn't let go, so Hakminra believed the second part of his combo would make him. Hakminra stabbed in the same wound, but this time shoved his spear all the way through Arach's shoulder. Arach let go after that and fell on his side. Arach could barely support his leg.
Hakminra changed his staff into a ruby tipped torch. He fired a powerful laser beam at the limping Arach, cutting through and slicing up his neck, which was now bleeding profusely. Arach grasped his neck, and managed to fire a flamethrower, fire partially shooting out of the gashes on his neck. Hakminra was caught unexpectedly by this. Like Arach, Hakminra had done a good job of healing wounds. All his burn wounds had mostly gone away, but this sudden attack had added some more burns.
Arach was surrounded in blood now, and was pretty much just sitting there. Hakminra looked up at the wobbling Stratosphere and got an idea. Hakminra levitated up to just under the main part of the tower. Hakminra looked down at Arach's position, confirmed it, and fired a laser at the top of the tower. The tower was cut through like butter, and the whole upper section came tumbling out of the sky. All Arach could do was watch as the giant piece of tower came down on him. The impact caused debris and dust and Hakminra came down. Arach's head poked out of the remains. The dragon didn't move, he just blinked and breathed.
Hakminra prepared the Power of Ra at Arach...

Arach saw the staff raised, and felt that this may be the end. He saw the beam charging. Hakminra shouted "Prepare for the Power of Ra!" And a change came over Arach. He may not be able to speak in man's tongues but he could understand it. This creature I fight, will always fight for them Arach realized. He couldn't let himself be defeated by them, for they are the destroyers of his home and all that he loves. THEY CAN NOT PREVAIL!!!Arach felt the serpent within him rise, as the beam came up. He shot out of the debris field like a cobra. The beam missed him by mere meters. He was upon Hakminra like a plague. He sunk his fangs deep within Hakminra's staff arm, and when he felt the instinct to pump poison which was not there. So he did the next best thing, he released fire on to Hakminra's arm, causing Hakminra to release his staff which became sutck in the debris of the Stratosphere. Hakminra went to punch Arach, but found his arm wrapped by Arach's tail and then being faced by the dragon's eyes once more for but a thousandth of a second. Then his ear drums felt the wrath of a Sonic Roar. His telekinesis was immobilized from the pounding headache. Hakminra grabbed Arach as his claws descended upon him. Arach took his first step towards learning English and screamed at Hakminra "WHY?!" And Arach pinned Hakminra, and prepared to blast him with his Sonic Roar and Flamethrower at the same time... (I included the Arach screaming Why part to advance his storyline, feel free to answer or not as you see fit. ![:))](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/cheesy.png)
