Corpus Christi suffered greatly at the hands of the Lawless Zone, almost drowned underwater, the city now looks like a Venice copycat. Somehow Corpus Christi managed to keep some of it's parks open and even now they work long and hard to stea-earn, your dollars.
Everything looked so promising, business was booming, people from far and wide came to escape the harsh realities of their lives, away from the death and destruction that dotted the globe.
But there seems to be a shadow on the horizon, one made out of a walking tidal wave, filled with hate and genocide for anything that dared walk on the land...
Byose, the long forgotten demigod was here...and he wasn't going to buy a ticket for the rollercoaster.
(OOC: The entrance of Byose into this world. In other news this is open for others to join in the genocide or just brawl it out in the middle of the city.)

On the docks one woman sat, alone with only her dog, the animal was twitching as it sat there, sensing something that it's owner couldn't even imagine. Suddenly the dog yipped, tail tucked under it's legs as it began to run, just about dragging it's owner as the canine tried to get both herself and her human away from ground zero.
Though the sun was still high a shadow crossed over the south side docks, one man looked up and was frozen with fear, for the very ocean seemed to be staring right back at him. Slowly the living wave held out it's right arm, it bent and twisted into a long broadsword.
Just as the man began to shout the monstrous being's left hand formed into looked like a vacuum hose-head.
"Demon! DEMON! Their HERE!" The man screamed as he slowly stood up and readied to bolt, but then the wall of water turned to face the man, whirl pool like eyes stared back at him "Byose...." it felt to the man as if everything went silent as the being spoke "Byose....Byose....I am divine." with that the demigod pointed the hose at the docks, huge clouds of steam billowed out, boiling everything that dared breath.
It didn't take much for the docks to be cleared of life, but there was still a city to finish and then another after that...it might never end, but this was a battle Byose was willing to devote himself to.
The water formed sword sliced through buildings as it they were nothing, steam from the left hand made sure that any fleeing the crumbling stone were left with no flesh at all.
The cleansing of Byose had begun.

As the demigod pushed further into the city, he left only rubble and piles on piles of bleached bones in his wake, human, canine, bird, insect, he cared not what they were called, if it dared walk on land he saw to it that it died. It didn't take long for the humans to mount some sort of defense, tanks began to roll and even a Maser Cannon took up positions in the city to try and halt the watery being.
Suddenly Byose's attention was drawn upwards by a loud whine, it seemed that a squad of helicopters were getting ready to fire at him. For a moment the demigod stared at them, studying the strange machines that the humans built in his long absence of this world.
"Open fire!" The command was shouted across the intercom, missiles flew and tanks roared into life, every shot aimed at protecting the lives of this city.
For a time, Byose just stood there, feeling the affects of the mini explosions taking place inside his body, the bullets getting stuck and slowly drifting down to the ground. Then the Maser Cannon fired, the beam of energy cut right through the water monster and caused him to shiver in pain...the humans harmed him...
Suddenly the kaiju blazed into life, steam falling off his body in anger as both his arms iced over "Mortals..." he hissed before large ice spikes formed over his arms. Then in one sharp movement he spread his arms, blasting the jagged projectiles everywhere, cutting through metal, wood and flesh with insane ease. The tanks were now pinned to the ground, some smoked as what few surviving attackers fled from their machines. The once great Maser Cannon lay on the ground, perhaps their only hope and now it was shredded.
Byose then let his arms melt, four helicopters were still in the air, firing away at him in vengeance for their lost kin. The demigod let one arm rise, it formed into an anchor shape with a long chain, the being began to swing it around like a flail, striking down one of the flying machines. Hi other arm simply stretched out and crushed one of the helicopters that tried to dodge behind the demigod.
With one horizontal swing the last two machines were dashed against his anchor-flail. As in the past humans tried to stop him, thousands of years ago their weapons were pathetic, only the great Greek Fire which could burn water ever proved to repel Byose. But now, the humans were weaker and yet stronger at the same time, he would think much about this change after the city of Corpus Christi was once again beneath his waves.

As the water monster rampaged around the Texan city, GDF forces were preparng to destroy the monster once and for all. And this time, they brought the big guns. The mech Riptide cruised in overhead as a squadron of Icarus aircraft trailed behind them.
"Riptide to Icarus leader. I'll cover your assault. Once you fire, break formation and fall back."
"Affirmative. Beginning attack run."
As Byose smashed through the city, the Icarus craft all fired with their lasers at once, the thermal energy beams causing gouts of steam to rise from the water monster. Byose bellowed as he turned on the jets, but an electric blue plasma beam forced him to keep his head down as the jets scrambled away.
"Try picking on someone your own size," Ben growled as he leveled both shoulder cannons at Byose. "I guarentee that I hit way harder than those guys do."

Byose stared at these new attackers, he sensed a greater challenge in these humans, perhaps he had judged them as defenceless too soon.
"All shall return..." He spoke slowly, his right arm turning into a sort of stump, covered in a strange blue tinted ice "to water." ice shards shot out much like a machine gun, taking down two of the strange craft.
Humans and their machines, they were interesting to look at and perhaps could be dangerous to the divine kaiju. But as the water being proved, metal could be crushed and bone still broke as they did a thousand years ago.
Another lance of energy tore at his body, gaining the demigod's wrath, his left arm reforming that anchor shaped flail, spinning around at a fast pace before sending it at the group.

Ben cursed again the Icarus planes exploded in brilliant fireballs. How many men sacrificed thei rlives to try and keep this world safe? He didn't know, but the fact that they had to keep doing it was beginning to irritate him.
"OK, you know what? No, I'm not gonna go easy on you. You may think you're some sort of god, but to me...you're all washed up."
Riptide then unleashed its full fury, firing a massive barrage of missiles coupled with beams from both ANECs and the Super NOVA. The watery being writhed and bubbled as the explosions and energy beams caused his body to evaporate into nothingness where they touched. But Ben could see that his opponent still managed to maintain his shape.
"Let's see what we can do to rectify that."
The mammoth machine dashed forward, slicing through the watery entity with both Plasma Cutters. For something made of water, it was remarkably solid and yeilded to his blows like an organic being. But as he prepared to strike again, Byose hit back, smacking the machine upside th ehead with a watery fist. Riptide reeled slightly, but managed to remain upright.
"Minor damage to NXT frame detected. No damage to internal systems."
"Good. Run an analysis on the target's composition. See if you can find a means to disrupt it somehow."
"Affirmative. Beginning scans."
As the computer began its scans, Ben opened fire again with the Super NOVA, burning away more of his foe's watery body, before leveling the ANECs and preparing to fire with those as well...

Byose pulled water straight from the air and reformed the damage, he realized that these weapons were indeed a threat to him and needed to be taken out. One of his arms formed into a long sword, quickly hardening into pure blue ice, stronger then it looked.
The other arm turned into what looked like a bowl, steam billowed from it before the demigod punched the mech with his steam hand, the metal screamed under the insane heat.
Then in a quick flash the ice sword came down, cutting into the same spot that the steam just super heated, chucks of metal and chips of ice chips flew from the point of contact.
The Mecha was knocked off target, it's beams fired and only grazed the water being, taking a nice sized semi-circle out of his shoulder. "Mortal..." He hissed as the wound slowly filled in from the water that Byose pulled from all around him, his steam hand formed into a large hammer, still steam flew off it as the divine being readied for his next attack.

As the steam hammer came down, Riptide's left arm deftly shot up, the demigod's weapon smashign harmlessly into the shimmering Barrier Field, which dissipated on impact. But Riptide's other arm came up, and a puff of steam signaled the launch of the Electroshock Anchor, which imbedded itself in the watery monster's body. Normally, water would disperse electricity, rendering it less lethal than before, but given that the entire monster was made of water, all this meant was that the entire being suffered. Steam rose in plumes as one point five million volts of electricity surged through Byose. But the liquid beast still held together, and Ben was beginning to wonder if his efforts were simply futile.
"Target analysis complete. Unknown lifeform appears to be composed entirely of water and is surrounded by an unusual energy field. Damage from energized weapons appears to disrupt this field, and continued assaults with such weapons may render target unstable."
"So no missiles, huh? Fine by me."
As Byose recovered from the nasty jolt he recieved, Riptide opened up again with the ANECs again, the thermonuclear energy beams spearing Byose through the middle, vaporizing more of his body. But, as before, the damage quickly repaired itself, although the AI was showing fluctuations in the energy field surrounding his opponent. Byose roared, a sound like crashing ocean surf, as he prepared to slam Riptide with another steam hammer. The machine countered as before, but this time, Byose managed to land a solid hit with an ice spear to Riptide's midsection. The NXT splintered from the penetrating force of the blow, but another blast from the Super NOVA managed to drive Byose back before he could press his advantage.
"That's it. I'm the sheriff in these parts, and we don't take kindly to strangers," Ben said, doing a decent John Wayne impression, as he lunged forward with the Plasma Cutters again, ready to cut this thing down for good.

Byose moved backwards, his whirl pools focusing on the cockpit, seeming to slice right through the metal and stare right into the eyes of the mecha's human pilot. The god held his gaze for a second, his right arm forming into his anchor-flail and the left froze over to mimic a true flail with ice shards sticking out.
The demigod broke the stare and then swung both his arms, Riptide Brought it's own arms up to block the blows, aiming the energy swords at the water and ice chains that connected the weapons with the foe kaiju.
The swords sliced cleanly through...almost too well, the two flails shot through the air and smashed into the breastplate of the mecha, forcing it back a step. Byose took a moment to reform his duel flails, giving Riptide's pilot just enough time to fire off a beam, hitting dead center of the demigod's head.
For a moment it seemed like this was the end, the main body shuddered and twisting savagely, then almost broke down. But once again Byose proved his ancient magics were a mech for any machine, his head reforming, rising like the pheonix of old.
The angered god wasted no more time, whipping his flails out in vengeance for the pain the beam caused his body. The ice flail crashed into the shoulder, driving the spikes in deep, right before the anchor came around from behind. The massive hook on the anchor quickly caught the head of the mecha, in the curve that made up the inner part of the hook.
With a hiss of steam Byose pulled down sharply, causing his anchor arm to slam the macha to the ground. Slowly both arms seemed to melt away, reforming back at the main body of Byose, steam seemed to boil from his whirl pool eyes as he stared down at his foe, almost sure it would get back up again.
But in spite of all the death the water being brought, he had no taste for attacking someone while they were down, pain and suffering was not something Byose lusted after, unlike many other beings.

((Sorry about the delay. It's been a hectic few days on my end.))
"If this guy is waiting for something, he made a bad choice," Ben said as he toggled a few switches on the console in front of him. Instead rising directly, Riptide's engines kicked in and proppeled the machine forward at high speeds, smashing into and throguh Byose, scattering the water elemental all over the place. but as Riptide righted itself, Byose was already reforming, ready to do battle again.
"Two can play at that game."
Riptide unleashed another assault from the ANECs, the thermonuclear energy beams blasting craters in the semi-solid form of the water god, sending columns of steam floating towards the heavens. Byose staggered slightly under the assault, and Ben didn't aim to give him room to fight back, as another pair of ANEC rounds lanced into his frame, momentarily disrupting.
But Byose could still fight back. As he reformed, a barrage of ice spears shot twards Riptide, smashing into the armor over one leg, causing the machine to falter momentarily. The water being reformed again, its roar the sound of crashing surf.
"Target's energy field at 90% and falling."
"Good. Keep the ANECs charged at all times. I want to be able to fire at a moments notice," Ben said, as he unleashed a beam from the Super NOVA. Byose couldn't last forever. Then again, neither could he...

(OOC: I understand, no worries. I was just making sure the fight wasn't forgotten, I'm having too much fun to stop now. lol ![8-)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/cool.png) ) Byose took a moment as he pulled his cells together "Human..." though it was one word it spoke paragraphs of pain and hate. Byose slowly rose back up, taking water from the very air, the animals and any other source around him as he patched up his body. The demigod shot out both arms, no modifications to either one as they grabbed the offending weapons that gave him so much trouble. The water being's body dropped in temperature greatly as the water began to harden into solid eyes, the ground and air around him began thick with frost as the cold flowing from his body began to warp the metal under his hands. Then the demigod pooled his energy, forcing it out in the form of two point blank ice beams right to his foe. Byose withdrew his hands slowly as a volley of smaller beams blasted at him, but his body simply opened up to let the energy pass harmlessly through to the other side. One arm formed the giant hammer again, this time it boiled with steam and ice, the unstable mix oozed energy before the divine being brought his hammer down with enough force to send ripples through the mech's armor as the heat and cold combine caused the metal near the impact to explode back, showering the demigod in metal shards which passed through him as Byose watched the damage, taking an interest in this worthy foe.

"Bastard," Ben growled as he lunged in again for the kill. Twin blades of plasma energy sliced and diced through Byose's body, leaving steaming trails in the water god's body. These reformed, but it seemed to take longer each time. And at the rate Ben planned on going, Byose would be so much vapor by the time he was through.
"Fire the ESAs!"
Once again, the shock anchors shot forth, embedding themselves in Byose's body before delivering their payload. Byose bellowed in fury as his body boiled from the inside out before finally collapsing again, forcibly dislodging the cables and harpoons. Riptide retracted the weapons and fired another barrage from the Super NOVA at the half formed water blob before him.
Byose recoiled from the heat as his body was torn apart on the molecular level, but still had enough strength to lash out with an icy blade, carving into a damaged section of armor.
"Guess what, buddy? Mine's bigger."
And with that, Riptide lunged again with the Plasma Cutters, ready to slice Byose apart...

Byose didn't even try to reform himself this time, he still had enough divine energy to make a comeback from the harsh blows. The demigod, let his body drain down, into the sewers and waterlines, just in time to avoid the blades as they tore gashes in the ground and sliced one or two empty buildings.
Byose took a moment to gather water, building his strength and pooling his magic before unleashing his wrath. The ground shook as huge gushers shot right from the concrete, blasting rock and metal every where while quickly flooding the streets as the demigod formed his body out of the largest tower of water. With the added liquid he was now taller then the mech, but as the machine trained it's lasers on the demigod he suddenly melted into a wave. That wave washed over Riptide before Byose formed himself around the machine and it's pilot.
Then he began to both super heat one side of his body as well as freze the other, the harsh temps hitting Riptide on all sides as the human inside tried to cut his way out with the plasma swords without damaging the mecha.
Byose let himself relax as he began to try and flood the mecha out, pulling at the weapons that gave him to much pain in an attempt to render them useless.

"Like i'd really let you pull that off," Ben snorted as he toggled a few more switches, then braced himself for sudden acceleration. Even Riptide's inertal dampeners couldn't totally prevent the pressing feel of going zero to Mach 3 in seconds. The machine's boosters glowed with radiant power, as secondary panels opened up all over the body, revealing hidden booster engines.
Byose was suddenly and violently torn apart as Riptide literally smashed right through him, splattering the water monster across several city blocks before ascending into the skies above. As Byose tried to reform, twin thermonuclear energy beams lanced into his half-formed body, burning it away and weakening the energy field holding the monster intact. Still, Byose tried to reform, as Riptide zipped down and slash him into two with a clean sweep of the Plasma Cutters, before whirling around and hitting him again.
Byose managed to deflect a thrid pass with a well timed blast of steam, which caught Riptide in a damage dsection of armor, warping and twisting it.
"Fine. Ranged attack it is then," Ben said as he fired another blast from the Super NOVA at the half-formed Byose...

Byose hardly had a chance to dodge it, he felt the energy rip right through his water, stealing his precious magical power from him. The demigod wasn't sure how to fight this at first, the pain of the sudden attack still boiled in his body, then he had an idea.
All the water droplets converted to steam, the mecha hovered over it as the human inside relaxed, the worst had to be over now that the demigod was finally gone. But then the steam pulled itself into an outline of a body, it raised one hand and shot a beam of pure cold, zapping the engines of the robot and forcing it to fall from the sky.
Now he had the time he needed, fusing his body into a tower of ice the demigod felt a new form take shape. His body thinner, growing a pointed head with long spindly arms tipped with three jagged fingers. The flowing wave that was his bottom half morphed into two strong looking legs.
Then the newly formed god stomped over to his target, the single ice eyes stared down at the cockpit "Mortal...you try and become a god with your machines....let me show your your error." this was perhaps the longest speech the divine being ever spoke.
In any case one arm formed a huge ice battle axe made out of pure blue ice, it hit with the force of a hundreds of thousands of the smaller human battle axes. The blade bit deep into the mech's chest plate, Byose didn't even pull the blade out, instead he broke it off at the elbow and simply reformed the weapon.
Finally he pointed his other arm at the robot, changing it into some sort of gun, in a second it shot huge kaiju sized, bladed ice stars. But the mech was quick, slicing them as it rose from the ground, trying to keep it's scanners on it's foe and deal with the ice weapon left in it's circuits. Byose glared it down before raising his gun like hand for another volley, but this time he charged an ice beam before blasting it at the mech. But Riptide brought around it's cannons and shot a beam as well, both giants watched as the two weapons arched through the sky...
