It took much longer then the avian thought, but his battered body finally healed enough for him to attempt a flight home. Corvous nearly dropped out of the sky at least twice, wings burning with the insane pain which the machine dragon dished out in spades. The kaiju swore to himself as he barely pulled out of a dive "If I ever find the race that built that thing, I will reduce the lot of them to smoking slag!" of course, this would just sound like a bunch of angry caws to one who didn't understand the tongue. After what felt like hours, the island came into sight, giving the weakened flier a burst of hope and sped up his beating heart.
Corvous called out as soon as he was close enough, his shrill caw echoing down to the protected city below. His call was answered by several smaller ones, made by many smaller avians crawling out of their patchwork homes. The kaiju passed through the lightning shield with easy before flapping down to a large cave which sat just behind the capital building of his race. With a tired huff the raven landed on the rock, causing some loose and damaged feathers to fall from his body. These were quickly snatched up by the smaller corvosaurs, these would be stored or placed on the roofs of their houses, sort of tribute to their protector.
The first to really approach the monster as he settled into his cave was Caln, who was already chalk full of questions. Corvous sighed as he laid down in the massive cave, fluffing up his feathers as a weak static ran through them, a ghost of his full power. "I know, Caln...I will give you a full report and memory scan later, but right now I need to rest." The smaller avian gave a nod "As you wish, Protector...though, someone is not in such a great mood about all this and he has the wireless capabilities to watch the battle you were involved in." Caln gave a small chuckling snort before rising into the air and fluttering off towards the city.
Corvous sighed, he had a feeling that this day was going to be a long one, but if luck was with him he might be able to catch a quick nap before he got ranted at. Slowly his eyes began to droop, mind unwinding all the annoyance and lingering pain that racked his body. But just before the monster bird could get into true sleep he heard something stomp closer to the cave "Do you have any idea what was going on in this island when you were at your epic battle?!" the voice had to belong to only one mecha and right now Corvous felt like fate was spitting in his eye once more, "Ammit!" her cursed in English all the while keeping his eyes closed in hopes that his 'attacker' would go away. DALF stood in front of the cave with his arms crossed and one giant metal foot tapping with borderline murderous intent.
