ravensaursrex: RopenVs. stealthartist24: BiohazardArena: Los Angeles Ref: tyrantisterror ---- Biohazard, the poisonous insectoid menace, tunnels through the ground underneath California, already thinking about the unlucky souls he is about to unleash havoc upon. After awhile of burrowing, the insect emerges from the soil to view his surroundings. He is on the side of what appears to be a mountain, and is already pleased with his next target. This mountain happens to the famous Hollywood Hill, and the giant white sign, overlooking all of Los Angeles, is about to become just a memory. Biohazard moves his blades to the side before releasing his acid spray with a hissing noise. The particles of the chemical reach the Hollywood sign, melting the steel off of the framework on letters H through Y. The mutant brings a scythe to the remaining letters, cutting them in half, leaving the bushes to do the rest of the work. The small shrubs along the hillside begin to grow, before dragging and ripping the remains into the ground. Biohazard quickly spins around, viewing what he has left to destroy, and is suddenly overwhelmed. The entire Los Angeles area is spread out in a photo-like manner, and the insect is amazed at all the oppurtunities for destruction. Biohazard opens his mouth and lets out an earsplitting shriek that could be heard throughout all of the City of Angels... ((OOC: I figure we'll start out in the Hollywood area and slowly make our way to downtown.))

For reasons known only to it, the giant plant monster named Ropen was soring away from the home that it knew for thousands of years. It almost seemed drawn to this location, but not by any force the humans could see.
The nature grown kaiju then tilted it's head down, sensing another monster below it's leaf like wings. The avianoid monster hovered there, beating it's wings just enough to remain in the air as it felt that force again.
Slowly the planted opened it's beak like mouth and let out an alien whoop, high pitched and strangely musical. The kaiju now knew what it sensed, there was a large insect on the ground and generations on generations of it's ancestors fed on insects, just like the Ropen planned to do once more as it entered a dive with it's beak spreading out into that large gaping maw...

Just as Biohazard was about to make his descent, he heard the loud, unfamiliar noise made by the Ropen. He looked up to see his challenger. The strange looking beast was just another obstacle in the way of his hate when viewed by Biohazard, and he had all intentions of exterminating the flying beast. As it swooped down, Biohazard waited. He waited and waited until it became close enough to attack, and when the oppurtunity showed up, he did. Acid spray was fired directly into the Ropen's open mouth and face. The chemicals began to do their job, melting away at the plant until eventually wearing out. By this time, the Ropen lost control and crashed straight into the ground.
It was quick to recover, though. The plant's tail untangled into legs, and it quickly sprang. Biohazard didn't have time to react, and the Ropen got away with biting his neck. Biohazard let out another shriek before firing a cloud of micro-oxygen spray. The Ropen was quickly surrounded by the cloud, and the particles began to eat away at the plant. Biohazard, given the oppurtunity, began to try to use the plants arround him to entangle the plant. But to Biohazard's surprise, the Ropen moved with the shrubbery! The insectoid then realised that this thing was not a creature, it was, in actual fact, a plant! Biohazard would not let this fact go to waste. This battle would be fun afterall.
Biohazard started to drag the now very confused Ropen up the hillside. When all the way up, Biohazard used all of his scythes at once, creating an arrow-like scar in the Ropen's back, causing it to make another whoop. When finished slashing, Biohazard drew back and used his ability to push the Ropen to the bottom of the mountain, and into the hilly district where the homes of the rich and famous are located. The Ropen landed on a mansion, crushing its roof in and pushing down the walls. Biohazard then slid down the mountainside to follow. The insect then looked at his surroundings, two large trees suddenly became larger trees as they pinned the Ropen to the ground, trapping it there on top of the mansion ruins.
With its head exposed, the Ropen was about to receive a scythe to the face...

The plant was not new to the ways of fighting, over it's long life it had to get used to such things, but this monster was something all together. The Ropen could sense little bits of smoke or steam coming from the bitten shoulder and the claws of the insect, the plant's acidic sap and spit were doing their job.
Biohazard just noticed this as well and let out a loud chatter before smashing it's blades into the ground to wipe off the fluid before it could do any real damage.
While the bug was focusing on it's own body, the Ropen took this short window, using it's roots the plant speared the trees holding it down before draining the very sap from them. In seconds only twisted husks remained before the Ropen struggled to it's root like limbs.
As it so happened, Biohazard turned it's compound eyes back to it's foe, angered that it destroyed his servants the insect spat it's micro oxygen once again.
But the Ropen learned from the past attack, quickly flapping it's wings the plant blew the deadly cloud back at the attacking kaiju. Biohazard was shocked, but not enough to be hit by it's own weapon, quickly moving out of the way before charging.
The avian like monster quickly flapped back into the sky at the last second before opening it's jaws again, spraying out thick stomach acid over the insect.
As Biohazard screeched in pain and tried to wipe off the acid, it noticed that the plant's attack only burned the shelled parts of it's body and not the plant that it was bound with.
The burning lessened just enough for Biohazard to leap into the air, long bladed arms out as his neared it's flighty foe...

The Ropen was suddenly tugged toward the insect, middair. Although it seemed as though he was going to slash the plant, Biohazard pulled his blades back, and extended his actual arms. The Ropen was grabbed on the shoulder, and Biohazard dangled from its side. As it flew, the Ropen reached its head back and bit the bug a second time in the same spot. More steam arose from the wound, and Biohazard hissed. He wouldn't tolerate this, and so he forced the plants flight path straight into Lake Hollywood. The large resevoir at the top of the hill would provide a marvelous trap. In the meantime, Biohazard sprayed an unavoidable mist at the Ropen, causing its 'skin' to start to disintegrate. Before long the two kaiju made a large splash into the water.
The Ropen and Biohazard were both relieved of acid as it drifted to the surface, but this wouldn't last long. The insect struggled with the plant underwater. The two were both thrashing, trying to fight under the surface. This continued until suddenly Biohazard snagged the Ropen's head with a scythe. The blade was dragged all the way down to the end of the plant's back, causing immense pain. Biohazard hurried out of Lake Hollywood as it began to fill with acid from the wound. When out, the insect began to unleash acid spray into the water, tainting it further with every mist. At the same time, the small bushes around the lake began to grow out of control. Their roots and branches began to spread out over the surface, creating a mesh-like shield, trapping the Ropen in the acid pool.
Biohazard wasn't done yet, though. He walked out on the branches before finding the Ropen through a crack. Without skipping a beat, he shot out more micro-oxygen in the plant's generel direction. The cloud surrounded it, doing its work as normal, and then faded away. The Ropen was still trapped, though, which would cause a major problem if it didn't act soon.
The plant was stuck in a resevoir filled with acid, and would die if it didn't escape. The only exit seems to be the Lake Hollywood Dam on the other side. And even that exit would be difficult...

The Ropen didn't panic as it folded it's wings and coiled the roots back into the tail formation. Some of the older wounds from the start of the battle were nearly healed, the plant's growth factor going to work.
Then the plant sunk to the bottom of the lake, avoiding the acids as they took more time to fully pollute the deeper parts of the water. Once at the bottom the Ropen latched it's roots into the soil before quickly pulling itself into the ground. The plant traveled through the ground with ease and soon it began to home in on the insect who was ready to attack, watching the water's edge.
The only warning Biohazard had was a soft rumble before six roots shot from the ground, grabbing the bug's arms and legs before pulling it to the ground with great force. The insect was confused and angry, at first thinking that one of it's own plants were attacking it, but soon the truth was show.
Out of the earth erupted the blunt head and gaping jaws of the Ropen, it's huge mouth closed over the head and much of the neck of Biohazard. The insect thrashed as it felt the acids attack, but the roots remained strong.
In a flurry of movement one of the bushes used a thorn blade to cut two of the roots that held down the bug. This freed the insect's arms and blades, quickly it cut the other root limbs and then ripped those jaws from it's body.
With a loud chitter, Biohazard tossed the plant away to give him some breathing room. As the insect took a moment it watched as the growth factor of the Ropen quickly began replacing the roots that he carved from his foe.
The oRpen hovered there for a moment before opening it's jaws again, but this time instead of acid, the peg teeth like thorns shot out at the insect like a shotgun blast.

For Biohazard, the Ropen was just becoming more annoying. The attacking plant would have to be defeated, though, and Biohazard continued the fight. The spines were the problem now, and in the split of a second, a giant tree shot up in front of the insect, and then another. The trees became thick enough in the growth process to be able to shield Biohazard from some of the attack. Some spines hit the trunks, and in response Biohazard brought the trees back to normal size. The other spines made it through, piercing Biohazard, causing him to schreech. The Ropen didn't realize that it was now in for some trouble. The tunnel it had just created was started at the bottom of a lake, and the polluted water was rushing out in a giant current. With ease, the mutant forced the Ropen into the current, which was already knocking over mansions in a tsunami-like manner. The plant slipped down the hill in the water, and as it passed Biohazard, had a large strip cut right out of its back. It was like carving a pumpkin.
The current pulled the Ropen to the busy highway, crushing vehicles of all sorts. Biohazard was quick to follow, safely avoiding the current down the hill. The insect swiftly brought roots up from underneath the highway, breaking the pavement, and strapped the Ropen to the ground. Throughout his time, Biohazard has come across many tanker trucks, and knew completely what they were capable of. And to his luck, one was driving along a highway overpass. He snatched it faster than you could blink, and shoved it in the giant gash he had just created in the Ropen. The insect then backed away, allowing a giant root to do the job. The root wrapped around a car and smashed it against the tanker. The first time nothing happened. But the second time......It worked. The truck exploded inside of the Ropen, doing tremendous damage to the plant beast. A giant hole was blasted out of it.
The Ropen was then helplessly dragged across the ground and overtop of a hill. Of course, Biohazard was behind this. On the other side of the hill sat the famed Hollywood Bowl. The giant concert stage was the Ropen's destination, as it was crumpled inside the 'arch' structure of the stage. As this all occurred, a gigantic root impaled straight through the Ropen's side, and then through the arch. It was kind of dangling on the root, like a ring on a wire. Biohazard then brought more surrounding plants to close in on the stage. They began to encase the Ropen, becoming a little too friendly.
If the injured Ropen didn't escape, the branches would rip it apart...

The plant was in pain, but it was also very lucky that the insect was making the same mistake twice. Quickly it wrapped it's now healed roots around the closing plants and began to suck the life from them. With this the Ropen felt it's pain flush away, while the extra energy wouldn't heal the wounds it did let the monster ignore them and stop some of the bleeding.
Soon only a field of dead and dying weeds were left around the Ropen and it wasn't finished yet. With a quick flap of it's wings, the plant zoomed over the ground, creating a powerful sonic boom that tore the insect from it's feet and slammed it up into the air.
Here the plant grabbed Biohazard, it's roots stabbing into the kaiju's chest and beginning to worm deeper inside of it. But the bug wasn't having any of this, it spat acid at close range, hitting the underside of the Ropen.
Instead of howling in pain the plant just closed it wings, going into a sharp dive. Then it entered a spin, swirling through the air to disorient the insect before it pulled up at the last second and let go.
With a loud crack the bug found it self hurled into and through the damn, it's tough chitin hide cracked as it what was left of the acid lake gushed over it's head in a massive wave of deadly water.

Like the Ropen had escaped the resevoir before, Biohazard began to burrow. The plant had expected this, though, and looked around for his exit. But Biohazard didn't create an exit, he merged his tunnel with the Ropen's previous tunnel, and took the same exit. Biohazard tried to sneak up upon the Ropen, but its improved senses were taking effect. The Ropen spun around and impaled the insect's leg with a root. Biohazard screeched before launching a wave of spores into the air. The Ropen was suddenly strapped to the ground again as Biohazard backed off. The plant tried to drain the roots' energy, but it took too long, and the spores landed on target. Five giant spores are now sucking the life out of the plant.
Biohazard spat out another cloud of micro-oxygen at the downed Ropen, which killed the roots, but in return began to melt the plant's "Flesh" away. It whooped once again, and suddenly sprung at Biohazard. The insect dodged, though, and the Ropen overshot the hill landing at the end of the mansion area. Biohazard ran at high speeds down the hill to the Ropen and forced it into the town area of Hollywood. Biohazard realized how root impaling wasn't working, so he looked for something man-made for impaling. Hollywood supplied this for Biohazard, offering the Capitol Records Building. The famous circular shaped building was topped off with a giant spire. Biohazard quickly forced the Ropen up the side of the structure and impaled it on the spire. The spire went through its back, out its stomach, and then straight through its head.
Biohazard watched as the Ropen squirmed on the spire as the spores sucked its life out...

The plant stayed still, it stopped moving completely, Biohazard watched it for a moment before raising it's arms and blades to the air and howling in victory. It's foe was down and that damned annoying plant was finally dead!
Steam rose from the metal before the acid blood of the Ropen turned the metal to mush. Then in a burst of strength the plant surged forwards, using it;s roots to stab into the insect's body before locking it's jaws around it's foe's neck.
Biohazard made stressed coughing sounds as it's own energy was stolen to feed the plant spores still stuck on Ropen. In this way it gained more strength before whipping the pesky pods off it's body. Then the plant flapped it's wings, rising higher and higher into the air.
Even though weakened, the insect was still a kaiju not lightly forgotten, it took a gamble and bit the plat with it's own jaws, causing the monster to let go.
But once again the plant had a plan, they had to be nearly 30 miles straight up when the Ropen let go and just to make sure it spat a stream of acid at the falling bug, watching the tiresome monster shrink away.

While exhausted, Biohazard still had the ability to control the Ropen. The massive plant suddenly began to fly down with Biohazard, falling at great speeds, under the control of the insect. The Ropen was falling so fast that it caught up with Biohazard and actually passed him, and as the ground grew closer, the Ropen's fate was clear. Biohazard grabbed on to its back as it tried to open its wings, but they were forced shut, leaving the Ropen helpless. Hollywood was approaching the kaiju at great speeds, and the Ropen sensed what was going to happen. The mistake it had made was a very, very bad one, and it would be punished. But before it happened, it managed to slash Biohazard in the leg with a root. When close enough, Biohazard let go and let a rapidly expanding tree catch him harmlessly about 100 feet above the ground. As for the Ropen, it was forced at the highest speed a plant kaiju could possibly go straight into the spire-less Capitol Records Building. The impact was enormous, causing the circular tower to split in three when the plant hit the roof, and then explode in a violent rain of debris upon reaching the ground. A gigantic crater was left in its spot, with the Ropen in the center.
Biohazard waited for his energy to return before leaving the tree. Upon reaching the ground, the insect examined the crater, and realized that the Ropen had tunneled about 50 meters or so with its remaining energy, right into a Metro tunnel. The Ropen had really lost a lot of energy from the impact. Biohazard followed the Ropen, crawling about halfway through the plant's tunnel, before seeing it, lying in the middle of the tracks. The insect quickly shot out some micro-oxygen spray, which reached the Ropen, causing its body to slowly disintegrate. This also melted the tracks in the area, which would cause a problem in the near future. The Ropen let out a whoop as a giant root began to invade the tunnel, targeting the plant. The root slid down the helpless Ropen's mouth, into its throat, before impaling and slashing a mess of internals. As the root exited, Biohazard noticed two faint lights growing brighter in the distance. The insect left the Metro the way he came, before blocking the exit with at least 40 giant roots. In actual fact, the faint lights were not the only ones, more were coming from the other direction.
The Ropen was collapsed upon both subway paths, and one was coming from each direction...

The plant had enough of this pesky meal, with a twist of it's head it snapped the annoying roots keeping it down. Then it easily grabbed the two trains, they weren't much to a monster of kaiju size after all. Then the plant proceeded to devour the trains, it's acid stomach melting metal, plastic and flesh alike.
There were quite a few humans in the trains and the energy it got from the meal made it to where the monster could continue the fight. Wounds from being impaled on the metal were already healed, as a plant it's organs weren't all that important and would soon be right as rain.
But there was still that insect to deal with, after an insult like this the Ropen was not about to let that monster go.
Burrowing down into the ground the plant quickly traveled, using it's sense to track the now weakened Biohazard. But the insect seemed to have learned from the past ambush and leaped up as soon as it felt the tremors under foot. Quickly it spat acid at the ground where the Ropen was trying to come up.
The plant reversed and went deeper to avoid the harsh fluid, leaving Biohazard to fall back to the ground, slightly paranoid.
Then in a burst of soil and rock, the avainoid came up behind the insect, who had enough time to turn around before two roots wrapped around the right front leg and then twisted at the joint, nearly snapping it. But this was quickly stopped by the flashing blades of Biohazard, though once again while it was focused on one attack the Ropen had another ready.
The holes in the chest from when the Ropen drained energy from the insect were still open and wide. With a flick of the head a large stream of acid shot forth and into the open wounds where with any luck the insect would melt from the inside out.
Biohazard screamed in rage and pain, it's limbs flailing about before in a quick toss the plant hurled the insect into a cluster of buildings, causing many to fall as the acid filled bug writhed in pain.

I was actually just going to let Raven have the win, since I've been pretty busy lately.
We will have a rematch after the boss battles, though. I promise.
