A huge, black portal opens up in downtown San Jose, California. The denizens of the now-coastal city begin to flee in terror as a huge humanoid steps out. The creature begins to laugh maniacally as it launches an orb of darkness off into the distance, blowing up a hapless building. It raises its arms up and several other portals appear around it, from each of which emerges a Skeletal Warrior. The skeletons scream, waving their bone weapons over their heads before spreading out through the city to wreak havoc.
Before they get very far, the skeletons are all struck down by bolts of electricity from above. Before the Necromancer even knows what’s happening, he’s slammed face-first to the ground. Pavoroc keeps his foot pressed down on the back of the shadow creature’s head to keep it pinned as he looks at the stunned onlookers.
“RUN!”
The terrified humans do as they’re told, leaving the two kaiju to struggle. After a few moments, the Necromancer teleports out from under Pavoroc and reappears a short distance in front of him.
“So another vermin of the light shows up to try and defeat us, eh? It still won’t be enough! Destroy him, my warriors!”
With a wave of the Necromancer’s hand, the remaining four Skeleton Warriors rise up and rush toward Pavoroc, screaming at the top of their non-existent lungs. The bird ascends into the air with a few flaps of his powerful wings before unleashing more bolts of electricity on the bones. They fall apart into jumbled piles before dissolving into wisps of shadow energy.
The Necromancer hisses with frustration before hurling two balls of shadow energy at the bird. Pavoroc spreads his wings wide, allowing the orbs to strike him dead-on in the chest. Instead of exploding, they break apart into streams and start swirling around his body.
“Ugh, your energy is disgusting.”
The black energy turns white before coalescing back on his chest and firing off as a large beam. The Necromancer is struck and blown backwards, skidding down the street on its back before coming to a stop. The evil creature shakes its head and gets up a few seconds later.
“As is yours, bird.”
Pavoroc swoops down, passing low over the buildings. As he approaches the Necromancer, he reaches out with his talons, but ends up grasping only air as it teleports away. Before he can turn around, he’s struck from behind by a pair of darkness orbs. He falters, nearly crashing to the ground before regaining his composure and returning fire with his Rainbow Beam. Again the Necromancer teleports and avoids the attack before launching another pair of darkness orbs. Pavoroc rolls and dodges the orbs and fires his Rainbow Beam again. This time the attack hits, sending the Necromancer skidding back, but failing to topple the shadow creature.
DIE!
The fiend outstretches its arms, and a moment later Pavoroc is engulfed in a swirling mass of shadow energy. After several seconds, the bird emerges, feathers smoking as he crashes to the ground. The Necromancer laughs.
“You see?! Resistance only leads to your own suffering!”
His laughing ceases, however, when Pavoroc stands.
“I was hoping to avoid using this here, but it seems you’ve left me no choice.”
His massive train raises up and fans out. The “eyes” on the feathers glow before firing off multicolored spheres of energy. The Necromancer is pelted mercilessly by the spheres, despite many either smashing into and destroying buildings in their path or missing the fiend entirely and doing the same behind it. After nearly half a minute, the barrage stops, leaving a battered Necromancer just barely standing in the middle of a destroyed section of city. Pavoroc immediately takes off and slams, talons-first, into the evil creature and tackles it to the ground. Keeping his wings spread, he unleashes several bolts of electricity upon the creature. He then shifts one of his taloned feet to grasp its head. The Necromancer begins laughing.
“You may strike me down, but even your light cannot defeat the Shadows. They will always exist.”
Pavoroc leans down to glare the Necromancer in the eyes.
“Then I’ll just continue tearing them apart one-by-one.”
With that, he blasts the Necromancer point-blank with a Rainbow Beam, making it vanish into wisps of darkness.
