Having tired of searching for adequate challenges on the Lawless Zone, Myston has taken to other sections of the planet to further his training. While his epic battle with Baphropod and Carcharius was exhilarating, and his battle with Kron was a wonderful test of his abilities against an honorable foe, none of those three have been seen since. Baphropod and Carcahrius may have died from their injuries, but Kron, Kron is a mystery.
Disappointed or not, Myston must continue his search. And for that, he has swum here, to the land mass the human residents call “Japan.” As he comes ashore, he looks around to see where he is, and groans a little when he finds that he’s come ashore on a beach, no doubt a tourist location or something. Regardless, it was teeming with humans, no doubt on edge with all the attacks recently, including the one in Hong Kong.
Screams filled the air and Myston could only sigh. He understood completely their fear. They had no way of knowing he was a sentient being, not at all interested in harming them. But he wanted to calm them anyways if he could. Lucky for him he had the foresight to consult his computer before he left the LZ and taught himself a few words in Japanese. Japanese was an interesting language, and he wasn’t sure if they’d get the gist of what he was trying to tell them, but he could try.
“Ochitsuita, Ochitsuita!” He yelled, using a Japanese word for calm. His gruff voice was making it difficult to speak in human tongue, so he tried speaking softer, more human-like.
“Ochitsuita! Douza, Ochitsuita!” He implored. Success! Several of the humans stopped and looked back at him. A very large portion in fact. A smile crept across his face.
“Kotonashi, Kotonashi, hai?” he said as he patted his chest and then pointed to the crowd, using a word that loosely translated into safe.
“Namu, Myston” he declared, pointing to himself. “Kotonashi” he said again, pointing to the crowd.
“Wakarimasu ka?” he said, asking the crowd if they understood.
Cheering rang from the crowd, and Myston sighed with relief.
But just as things were looking up, Myston sensed something…evil. People pointed to the sky, as a tear in the fabric of our dimension occurred, the blackness starkly contrasting the bright blue of the sky.
Myston looked up as well, to see a hideous creature emerging from the tear. It was humanoid and about as big as Myston himself. But it was cloaked in dark clothing, and he could feel the evil Aura emanating off the creature. It landed some distance away, with Myston in between it and the humans.
Immediately recognizing the evil nature of the creature, Myston turned to the people and pointed away from he and it, indicating them to get away. Thankfully, the people got the hint and began to run away.
An evil laugh emitted from the creature ”Ah, a protector of the people. I’m going to enjoy killing you.”
“Ranule eska oh, reeka fonule?” (What are you, can you understand me?)
The Necromancer just stood where he was, his red eyes rising slightly.
“Keen wara ahs” (I’ll take that as a no)
The Necromancer was the first to make a move, lobbing a few dark orbs at Myston. The orbs knocked Myston down, but he was quick to recover, standing back up and tossing a few of his own Aura Discs at his enemy.
The Necromancer teleported away before the Discs could strike, appearing behind Myston and hitting him with two more dark discs at point blank range. Myston cried out as he fell forward, but he didn’t hit the ground, instead, he found himself incased in a shadowy bubble of energy, pain rippling through his body.
Concentrating Myston crested an Aura Sword, using it to cut through the bubble and leapt at the Necromancer, who was too surprised to defend himself. Myston landed two solid hits before letting the sword dissipate and taking to his fists to dole out punishment. Myston landed another two powerful hits before the Necromancer teleported away, to the beach.
”You’ll pay for that, hero!” it said as it fired another dark orb. Myston summoned an Aura Shield and blocked the attack, countering with his horn beam. The Necromancer once again teleported away, appearing right to the side of Myston, slamming into him with his arm.
Myston grunted in frustration. He was having quite a bit of difficulty hitting this thing. But then he got an idea. He fired at the Necromancer again, and as he expected, it dodged. But as soon as it teleported, Myston jumped to the side and summoned another Aura Sword. Just as he anticipated, the Necromancer appeared, and he hit it with the sword the second it did.
The Necromancer groaned and fell to the ground, firing two dark orbs as he did so. The orbs struck Myston in the face, causing him to loose his concentration and allow the Aura sword to dissipate.
Once again, Myston found himself trapped within the vortex as before, pain ripping through him as before.
”When you die, I will bring you back as my servant.” The necromancer laughed.
Myston struggled against the pain. Pushing against the tightening vortex, until finally, hr broke free again.
Summoning his deep reserves of spirit energy, Myston channeled an immense blast into his hands, and fired it at the shocked Necromancer. The pure white beam struck home, consuming the evil creature in its purity and almost vaporizing it.
The Necromancer fell into the water, its body quickly turning to black smoke as it died.
