Name: MADROC (Mechanized Amphibious Demolition and Reconnaissance Operation Craft)
Type: Water/Land
Faction: GDF (Imar Science)
Weapons:
1. Mark 54X MAKO Lightweight Hybrid Torpedo x6 - Modified from the standard Mk54 for submarine-launch capability, these are high-speed, high-maneuverability homing torpedoes with a 100-lb shaped charge warhead and proximity fuze. Three tubes are located on the MADROC’s back.
2. 30mm Beam cannon x2 - A set of high-intensity beam cannons which fire highly focused energy beams. One imbedded in each claw.
3. Zeus’ Javelin - The MADROC’s most unique weapon. Located on the end of their tail is a powerful harpoon gun which can surge electricity. The cable, and all but the tip of the harpoon itself, are insulated to prevent the electrical surge from dissipating before reaching the target, even when under water. The cable attaching the harpoon to the tail is extremely strong and can be retracted, but can also be severed with the press of a button should the mech bite off more than it can chew.
Description/Picture: 10-foot tall (not including the tail), scorpion-like mechs designed for amphibious combat. The claws are large and bladed, with another, triangular blade jutting out and back from the side of the claw. The tail is somewhat short and thick compared to a normal scorpion. Overall, it’s vaguely reminiscent of the Death Stinger (pic 1 and pic 2). The color is primarily grayish green with gray and grayish blue highlights. Cockpit window is green.
On land, they’re much slower than the Adams, but make up for this with thicker armor. Underwater, a series of flaps open along the sides of the tail (again, like the Death Stinger pic 3 and pic 4) to give it greater surface area. To swim, the mech holds its pincers in front of its face, streamlining itself and allowing the blades on its claws to essentially act as fins. It then undulates its body and tail up and down, propelling it forward. They are also equipped with hydrojets for increased speed when necessary.
