While the cause of Dhor Hra Zor's tantrums remained a mystery to the Grand Alliance, the Beyonders tasked with handling him had figured out a few tell tale signs that one was coming. These signs were generally very subtle forms of body language - a slow and slight flattening of his spinal fin, a brief twitch of his left tentacle, etc. One of those tantrums was coming right now, and the Beyonders did not like the idea of letting the creature destroy their own property.
The Grand Alliance did not want to show its whole hand so early in the game - or at least that was the opinion of the majority of its leaders. None agreed with this more than the secretive Beyonders, but even they could not deny curiosity about the destructive potential of the mysterious Dhor Hra Zor. So, at the behest of Commander Gat, they arranged a test drive of the monster in the Lawless Zone, where the havoc it was sure to wreak would go relatively unnoticed.
The two flying saucers escorting Dhor Hra Zor (and simultaneously hiding him with an artificial cloud) lazily searched the coastal section of the Lawless Zone for suitable prey for the beast - after all, what kind of test would this be if Dhor Hra Zor didn't have a suitable battle partner. Eventually they found it in a pair of mating Con Rits. Normally the massive centipedes were solitary, and while their size was impressive to a human, it was dwarfed by Dhor Hra Zor's impressive bulk. Two of the arthropods would make a suitable enough challenge, though, and so the saucers stopped and waited for the fire works to start.
Dhor Hra Zor had almost completely retracted his spinal fin during his calm glide through the fresh air. Suddenly the fin shot back up. The monster's eyes, which before had been half closed in content, likewise quickly opened wide. A hiss grew in its throat before turning into a furious roar as the titan's mammoth body. The creature almost seemed to have a seizure in mid air before it spotted the Con Rits and, hissing in agitation, swooped down towards them in blind fury.
The giant centipedes looked up from their mating just in time to see Dhor Hra Zor land right on top of them, standing mere feet above their own writhing forms upon his stilt like legs. The monster grabbed the top-most Con Rit and ripped it off its lover with one of his tentacles. The Centipede attempted to strike back but was quickly torn apart by Dhor Hra Zor's mouth and claws.
The other Con Rit watched in horror as chunks of its mate fell into the water around it. The horror felt by the arthropod quickly turned to rage and, without much thought, the still living centipede lashed out and bit Dhor Hra Zor's leg. An anguish filled howl thundered from the green kaiju's form, giving the surviving Con Rit a great boost of confidence. Perhaps he might win this fight. The Dhor Hra Zor looked down upon the centipede with glowing red eyes. The insect felt terror mere seconds before its body was torn apart by the laser emitted by the kaiju's eyes.
The Beyonders in the ship grumbled. That was a rather poor test of the creature's skill after all - he'd torn through the centipedes like tissue paper. They watche as Dhor Hra Zor continued to rage, taking out his anger on the uncaring water, sand, and rocks surrounding him. Perhaps a more public test was needed after all - one of the human groups mentioned France deserving to be knocked down a peg...
