Long after Cicindelion has left to go battle with the powerful force in America, Myston has remained in the LZ, first heading back to the forests to check on his ship, making sure it could still get him off this planet, then back to the Coastal regions for continued meditation and training.
But on this day, a dark portal opens up in the sky, and a horrid creature passes through. Myston bares his teeth as the Shadow Roc circles overhead, then heads out to the waters. Myston cannot let this creature live and terrorize the people of this planet. He enters the waters and starts to swin towards the Shadow Roc, making a mental game plan as he does so. But that game plan goes out the window when a sudden, powerful yank on his leg pulls him underwater!
Myston feels something wrap it's arms around him and he struggles to break free. Using his telekinesis, Myston shoots up out of the water, and levitates over the beach, using his superior strength to break the things hold on him. He looks down and sees an Ahuizotl crashing down to the ground. Clever. The Shadow Roc lured him to the water, where the Ahuizotl was going to drown him. But they underestimated his power. From above, Myston unleashed several Aura Discs at the Ahuizotl, explosions on and around it obscuring it from Myston's view.
Landing, Myston reaches out to try and sense the dark energies of the Ahuizotl, but the creature charges at him before he can get a lock on it. It spears him to the ground in a wild rage and rains down punches on him, screeching as it does so. The expert fighter Myston siezes a narrow window of opportunity and blasts the Ahuizotl in its eyes with his horn beam, then punches the beast off him. Getting back to his feet, he summons an Aura Sword, and takes two quick slashes at the Ahuizotl as it flails about blindly.
The beast falls to its knees, defeated. Not wasting a second, Myston gets behind it, and snaps its neck, causing it to dissipate into a black smoke. Looking up towards the sky, he hears a screech. The Shadow Roc is diving at him!

The Shadow Roc slams into Myston, causing gashes with it's razor-sharp talons. But Myston is able to back it off with several Horn Beams. The Roc flies up and circles around, dodging several Aura Discs that Myston throws at him, but is unable to avoid the last two thanks to the short distance. The Shadow Roc crashes to the ground, but gets back up and launches its feathers at Myston. Most of the sharp feathers hit their mark and embed themselves within the Forever Warrior.
Myston angrily brushes them out, but starts to feel weak. The feathers must have had some kind of poison in them, and his natural susceptibility to poisons is making it worse. The Roc takes flight and rams into Myston, toppling him over and starting to slash into his flesh with it's claws and stab him with its beak. The bacterium was making it almost impossible for Myston to concentrate enough for his stronger attacks, and he couldn't seem to get any kind of accuracy with his Horn Beam.
Finally, Myston seized an opportunity to gab hold of both of the Shadow Roc's wings at their base, and yanked down hard. The sickening tell-tale crunch informed him he'd succeeded in breaking the beast's wings. The Roc screeched and stumbled off him. Myston didn't even stand up. Rather, he entered a meditative state, concentrating on getting rid of the poison within him. After a few seconds, he felt like his old self again. Looking down, he saw that the wounds inflicted on him were regenerating as well. Now, to finish the Shadow Roc off.
He quickly headed over to the Roc, which was still flailing, and grabbed a hold of its head, snapping its neck, as he did the Ahuizotl just a few moments before. But the Roc did not dissipate to smoke like the Ahuizotl did. Instead, it's head and wings snapped themselves back into place, and it sprung back up!
While shocked at this development, Myston knew better then to give it a chance to continue fighting, and fired a volly of Aura Discs at his foe, knocking it back into a loose mound of Earth that temporarily buried the creature. Reaching out with his mind, Myston discovered that the entire creature's "essence" was compacted in a sphere in its chest. The rest of it, the wings, head, talons, were nothing more then a shell!
With this information the Forever Warrior charged in, slamming his fist into the Roc as it stood back up he used his arm to pin the creature down, then cut into its chest with his Horn Beam. Knowing what he was doing, the Shadow Roc screeched and flung more of it's poisonous feathers at Myston. A few struck home, but it was too late. The orb was exposed, and Myston put his hand right over it, unleashing an Aura Blast before the bacterium had a chance to take effect.
A large explosion heralded the end of the Shadow Roc, and Myston sat back down, entering a meditative state once again to clear the poisons out of his body.

The water of the near by ocean began to boil, swirling around in a vortex of power until it resembled a tower. Soon after a form began to shape itself, vaguely humanoid the demigod Byose now rose from the water. The being was tracking a strange form of energy and was drawn to this spot where it witnessed the destruction of two creatures not of the Earth, though the one who cleansed the lands was also not of this planet.
Byose moved closer, seeming to just flow out of the water and slide over the ground, for once in his long life the demigod was feeling conflicted. This strange being was not of the planet, it should die, it walks on land, further showing it's pathetic nature and should be exterminated! But the elemental was forced to consider the service rendered, ridding the world of the filth known as the shadow beasts.
Finally the water demigod came to a compromise "Leave this planet...return to yours, the Earth will not have you." a warning, it was far more than Byose ever gave most.

Myston's eyes narrowed. While back here on the LZ, he'd taken the chance to use his ship's computer to learn some of the most wide-spread languages on this planet. Among one that he had become at least conversational in was English.
While he didn't understand all of what the mighty Demigod said, he understood enough to know that he was being given an Ultimatum; leave Earth, or die.
"I not leave!" Myston shouted in broken English. "I Myston, strongest Karmian Warrior, all time. I go where I want. You will not scare me."
To say the least Byose seemed agitated.
"I am the Forever Warrior! I am immortal. I never back down from fight. You want me off Earth, you fight!" he declared.

Byose stared back with those unflinching whirl pools that stood in for the monster's eyes, they seemed to rip right through the alien like he wasn't even standing there. "I...am, the ocean's wrath!" Drawing in water from the air itself as well as the near by ocean, the demigod swelled up in size, one arm morphed into an anchor like flail as the other formed a funnel which the watery being pointed at the other kaiju like a gun.
Steam began to pour off Byose as his body heated and cooled rapidly, showing off his anger that his offer had been refused. It was not every day he spared a life and when he did so he expected it to be respected!
The funnel fired with a loud roar, a glob of dense water shot out and missed the alien known as Myston by inches. The seemingly harmless glob punched a good sized crater in the ground, showing off the raw force that was the sea.
Then Byose aimed the funnel at the chest of the alien as the glob on the ground began to eat away at the rock around it, like the acid in hiding it was.
"I am Byose..." he hissed in an unearthly tone, finally handing out his name to the strange being in front of him, even the demigod could tell this kaiju was a warrior and while he wanted to wipe out all life on land, he did have his own twisted sense of honour.

A show of force, quite obviously. This Byose seemed to be quite adamant about Myston leaving the Earth. But Myston was a warrior that had never, ever back down from any challenge, and had never, in his centuries of existence, yielded to the demands of an opponent.
Myston decided to give his own example of power. His fists shot forth with unnerving speed, and he did a few flips, the ground shaking as he landed. He then slashed the ground with his Horn Beam, let loose two Aura Discs into the air, then summoned an Aura Sword and did several slashes with it before allowing it to dissipate.
He ended in a traditional Karmian fighting stance, staring at Byose and making a "bring it" motion with his hand.

The demigod stared right at the other giant, he took a little longer then he should have, but then again in all his years, Byose never saw another being move quite like that before, not that it mattered really. In a quick blur of motion, the water kaiju pulled back his flail arm and then swung forwards with a good amount of strength, whipping the anchor end at the fleet foot alien in front of him.
But before the weapon could strike, a fist of the alien flashed out and smashed into the watery flail, sending it flying off at an odd angle. Byose quickly pulled it back to him as he turned again and fired his funnel at the monster's chest, only to have the glob smacked away with the flat of the thing's hand.
For a moment the elemental was wondering if he should have waited for his power to grow before attacking this thing, but then he noticed a small burn on the palm of Myston's open hand. If it could be hurt it could be killed.
Suddenly a third arm grew out of the demigod's chest and pointed at Myston, a beam of frost shot out and nailed the other monster's foot, freezing it to the ground and restricting those blinding movements. Then Byose began to change again, pulling in the third arm as ice raced down his left, warping the funnel into a hardened ice battle axe which the water being lifted over his head, glaring down at Myston..
Then in a sudden rush, taking with him all the force of the ocean itself, the monster flowed across the ground at a shocking speed, like a living tidal wave he closed the gap between the two in nearly a heartbeat. As Myston took his stance and readied his hands to block the battle axe which would surely come down, Byose last out with his other one.
While his eyes had been on the deadly looking battle axe, the other arm grew into a hose looking thing and moved quickly to shoot a blast of searing steam right at the upper body of Myston, it was hot enough to cook and burn even the flesh of a kaiju. But just before the steam could reach the alien warrior then battle axe made of ice so cold the steam didn't even touch, this weapon flashed down, aimed at Myston's neck...

Myston was able to bring his arm up to avoid being decapitated, but took the brunt of the blow on his arm. He swung at Byose, landing a punch square in the "face" but it didn't seem to have too much effect. Pulling his leg up away from the ice that had encased it, Myston leaped back, and lobbed two Aura Discs at the Demigod.
The attacks hit their mark, exploding and spreading his enemy across the battlefield. Myston smiled inside, thinking that it's possible he won...but unlikely.
Indeed, Byose was already starting to reform. But Myston didn't notice two large pools of water reforming by his feet, he was concentrating on the large body. This proved to be a mistake. Two arms formed from the pools and grabbed his legs, taking him by surprise.
Before The Forever Warrior could counter, Byose had formed another flail and slammed it across Myston's jaw, sending him flying.
You should have accepted my offer... Byose said ominously. He formed the flail into a stabbing weapon as the two smaller pools that had held Myson's legs rejoined the main body.
Myston's world was nothing but pain. His jaw had been dislocated by the blow. He stood up, groaning, and then quickly dodged out of the path of the stabbing arm of Byose.
Concentrating, he unleashed an Aura Blast that exploded at the base of Byose's form, once again reducing him to a large puddle in several areas. With a small amount of time to himself, Myston used a secret technique he'd learned long ago, and had perfected here on Earth, to control his pain receptors. He shut them off entirely for a moment, and then snapped his jaw back into place with a loud crack.
He kept his pain receptors off for now, as the immense ache of having his jaw snapped back into place would distract him too much from battle.

The elemental began to reform once more, he avoided attacking the alien as he did so, unlike the last time when he surprised Myston. The demigod doubted something like that would work twice, also these strange blasts were beginning to become painful for him to take, he would have to take this thing out and take it out quickly before too many of those blasts whittled down his divine power.
As soon as his normal body was formed, Byose lashed out, but he didn't form a weapon this time, just a large open hand. The attack was simple and rather unimaginative, at least to a warrior like Myston it was. He timed his attack perfectly and counted the watery hand with his own fist, punching it clear in the center.
But then something strange happened, the water didn't explode like last time, in fact it just simply gave way, pulling the hand and most of the forearm into Boyse's being. Then the arm began to draw back to it's master, dragging the alien with it as he used his other hand to punch at the arm. He found that the water was almost as hard as flesh and his attacks did little, soon he was standing face to face with the demigod.
Byose wasted no time, forming a long ice spear he pulled back he free arm and stabbed the left shoulder of Myston, forcing the ice to expand into many sharp jagged crystals inside the alien's flesh before the warrior snapped the lance off, leaving the tip and it's jagged creation inside his shoulder.
The alien pulled back on his free arm, grunting a little bit as it strained against the pressure in his shoulder muscle, before summoning up an energy disk and blasted the water being at close range. This forced Byose back, letting go of the other monster's arm as he took a moment to repair the damage to himself.
Before Myston could recover his wits, Byose formed one arm into a huge hammed, ice shot down one side, cold as the reaches of space itself, throwing out a thick mist in the air. The other side of the hammer became steam, pouring heat off and mixing in with the mist to create a small warp of clouds around the weapon.
The elemental took only a second to pull back the hammer, then with great force he swung it back forwards, Myston brought up his hands to try and catch this weapon as he did the last, but he was just a fraction of a second too slow. The hammer crashed into his chest, mixing the extreme hot and the extreme cold together to create a small localize explosion, combined with the raw force of the blow, this sent the alien flying back against the coastal rock.
Even though being able to block out pain, Myston was a tad dazed, unable to feel what damage the blow truly did to his body. Byose let the hammer morph away, it was replaced by an ice like cannon, which he pointed at the fallen foe, when it shot, a long ice lance flew forth at the speed and strength as a rail gun, aimed at the already damaged chest of the alien...

Thinking quickly, Myston fired a Horn Beam at the approaching projectile, shattering it. Myston mentally pat himself on the back. As disorientated as he was, he still had the sense to fire the one attack which was not connected to his own spirit energy, and thus needed no concentration and could be used instantly.
The Forever Warrior stood back up, and allowed himself to feel pain again, looking gauge how badly he was injured. His shoulder was in quite a bit of pain, and his chest ached. But was nothing too severe.
Letting out the traditional Karmian battle cry of "Haruk che ka, ka che haruk!!" (Battle is life, life is battle!!) and summoned an Aura Sword while charging at Byose. He cut the Demigod's head clean off, then slashed in half, cutting him in half as well.
The sword dissipated and Myston watched Byose reform. He wondered how he was going to defeat this thing when it just kept reforming itself. He thought back to a battle he had about 800 years ago or so against an enemy made from energy that was very, very similar to this one. It could reform itself at will, and simply never tired out. But Myston persevered, believing himself to be destined to die that day, and simply wanted to go down fighting. But the being wound up running out of...well, itself, and dissipated. One second it was fighting him on all cylinders, the next...Myston had won.
Perhaps that's the key to victory here. Just outlast the thing, damage it and force it to use energy to reform itself. And try to stay alive while doing so.
Myston watched as the Demigo reformed itself, but then roared in surprise as it suddenly leaped onto him from all sides, covering him entirely and raising it's temperature to boiling levels. Myston gasped for air and quickly shut off his pain receptors so as not to be overwhelmed. But he was still being harmed. Just because he wasn't feeling the pain didn't mean he wasn't in danger.
Focusing, The Forever Warrior unleashed an Aura Blast into the water that suurounded him, blasting it off.
Myston took to the air this time, and launched a few Aura Discs at the area Byose seemed to be reforming...

Byose didn't bother to return to his "normal" form, instead he quickly crafted one that looked much like a serpent, using his slimmer body he slithered and looped his body around the blasts, dodging them in ways that would break the spine of a true snake or eel. Then he puffed up into a cloud of steam, rushing forwards in a great roar he surrounded the warrior in midair, then he turned himself to ice around the alien.
Myston hardly had time to gasp before covered in feet on feet of ice, but of course there was no way this lump would would sat in the air. As one the two kaiju fell to the earth, shattering into flying bits of ice everywhere. Myston wasn't hurt by the strange attack, more a little lightheaded from being flash-froze like that, but he wasn't about to waste his chance.
The alien warrior struggled to his feet before summoning up his will and hurling three balls of energy before doing a back flip to dodge a shard of ice.
Two of the shots hit, the third was dodged as the ice returned to water. Byose made a low moan, echoing that of the great whales and the roar of the ocean all rolled into one haunting call. Though whether this meant he was in pain or just angered, was yet to be seen.
The demigod then pulled water from the air and ground, to help fill in the gaps which were left after that last attack. Then he glared down the alien "The Earth...will purge...and I, am the weapon!" he breathed before his watery form began to ripple.
At first it looked like the demigod lost control of his body, but soon Myston saw what the being was up to and he didn't like it one bit. Six arms formed out of Byose, the top two were long water spears, the middle two were something that looked like ice made chainsaws while the bottom pair were also spears.
Then he rushed forwards, stabbing out with his top pair, only to have them caught by the strong hands of Myston. However, this didn't stop the others, the bottom spears stabbed through the thighs of the alien and then Byose lifted the warrior up above himself.
With a great rumble the ice saws whirled into life, taking quick slashes at the chest, but never going that deep, the demigod seemed to be softening up this area for something.
Byose stared up with soulless whirlpool like eyes as a seventh arm formed out of his chest, this thing combined steam as hot as hell itself as well as arctic ice. What made the alien's eyes go wide was what the arm formed, a huge drill that was clearly aimed at his chest as the pair of saws reared back to strike as well.
Then as one, all three arms jabbed forwards, drawing ever closer to the warrior's chest where the demigod planned to rip out the heart of his foe.

All three arms struck home, but instead of tearing into the Forever Warrior's flesh, they met a durable shield of Myston's own Aura energy, covering his entire front.
A Horn Beam to the "face" caused Byose to take his spears out of Myston's thigh and let him drop. Upon reforming himself a little, the Demigod looked to see a fist flying toward him. Myston's fist.
The Forever Warrior then launched a volley of strikes so fast that it looked like multiple arms were flying at Byose. His body was struck by these lightning fast punches at a rate of about three or four a second. Myston's flurry of punches look a little, in fact, like a certain person's avatar...
The punches were fast enough to cause water to fly out of Byose's form as they were pulled out, and soon the ground was littered with moisture. Finally, the Demigod shot out an arm from his midsection and trapped Myston within it, lifting him up and slamming him to the ground. He lifted again, but Myston unleashed an Aura Blast that struck Byose's body, severing the arm and ripping his form apart.
Myston stayed in the air and unleashed another Horn Beam...

Byose was hit once more, the few bits of himself he had together just exploded as the beam lanced right through his watery form. After that the demigod pulled his fractured body under the sands, quickly pulling as much water as he could find to him.
On the surface, Myston could tell something was wrong, all the sand around him suddenly became hard and crusty. The alien took two steps backwards as his eyes scanned the ground around him, just waiting for his foe to pop up again.
Great clouds of steam rose from the sand, coating the monster in burning, choking vapor. Myston could sense his skin burning already and took the wisest course, leaping straight up into the air where he hovered in a strong gust of wind, hoping that the steam body couldn't follow.
Byose made a short groan at that, his body changing again, forming into a tower of ice, long spindle like arms, a demonic like head and tree trunk like legs. Byose then formed his ice battle in one of his arms before slice forwards in a throwing motion. The ax shot off like a rocket, Myston barely dodged in time, getting a small slash on his side from the passing weapon.
The warrior then fired down two energy balls and a another beam just to make sure he shattered that body. The two balls slammed into the arms of Byose, taking bits of ice out of them, but the beam missed, the demigod moving to the side just in tome to avoid it.
Byose then formed a giant ball and chain out of one of his arms, swinging it around before sending it at the alien in the sky. Myston quickly moved to the right, but misjudged what the water being was planning. The chain wrapped around his legs as the ball flew up around and nailed him in the back, after that the demigod yanked down with all his power and force. This sent the alien hurtling down to the ground like a blur, crashing with a small crater. Byose then began a slow walk to the crash sight, his free arm morphing into an ice like gun that shot a sort of shotgun blast of jagged ice parts. He was going to end this battle here and now, before the demigod found that he wasn't able to go on.

The ice particles found their way into Myston, who just grunted upon impact. He wasn't worried. The ice would melt away, and the wounds would heal quickly thanks to his continuous meditative healing factor.
Myston prepared another Aura Blast, but decided against it. Every time he did one of those things, Byose would get splattered, reform, and come at him again. Myston took to the physical offensive this time. He slammed his fist into the Demigod's malleable form, then slammed his knee into it's "gut." He finished his combo with a headbutt that staggered his foe.
With Byose reeling, the Forever Warrior summoned an Aura Sword and stabbed it into him, then ripping it out to the side as Byose fell into a semi-puddle. NOW was the time to use an Aura Blast. But before he could, an arm shot out and slammed into his gut, causing him to take flight into the air before releasing his blast.
A groan could be heard as the attack exploded and once again spread Byose around. Myston landed and prepared to launch an Aura Disc the moment he saw Byose reform...

Byose puffed into steam, just in time to be hit by the blast, scattering his form even more and making it harder for the demigod to pull himself together once more. Myston kept an eye on the small cloud as he held his sword ready to strike if it so much as twitched!
Byose instead formed his body out of the steam, pointing one hand at the sword a quick beam of frost hit the weapon and iced it to the alien's hand. Myston grunted as he glanced at his hand, but in that moment the water elemental formed his normal ocean body which shot out a club like arm.
Myston thought quickly and blocked it with his free hand, worrying that his ice one might shatter if he tried that. In any case the damage was almost nothing to him, maybe a sign that the demigod was finally slowing down! But Byose had a plan, as the alien found his free arm covered in water he tried to pull back, only to see the skin melting off his free arm.
Myston couldn't help but stare as the muscles of his arm started to go next, but before he reacted, the demigod formed an ice gun in his other hand. Suddenly long lances of ice shot deep into Myston's chest, just barely missing his lungs or other organs, but they still hit deep.
Myston turned to face the demigod, blazing eyes to whirl pools right as the alien's horn began to glow, charging up power for a point blank beam blast!
