(Alright, lets get this thing off the ground!)
On a whim and nothing more, the avian known as Corvosaurus Rex flew out from his home island. He was at first going out only to stretch his wings, but then a large coastal human city caught his sharp eyes. The bird swooped in with a cover of dark clouds behind him, calling out in that harsh voice of his as the humans ran for dear life.
But in spite of what they thought, the kaiju was only having a few laughs at their expense, being part raven it was his nature after all. After a few circles the novelty of screaming insect sized beings started to bore Corvous and he slowly flapped his wings, descending from the sky only to land on a large building that buckled under his, relatively, immense weight.
There he sat, wondering if a cheap laugh or two were all this city was good for, but then something strange tugged at his senses and set his feathers on edge...the dark feathered bird was not alone.

Corvosaurus' senses were proven correct, another kaiju was quickly closing in on the area, his own telepathic senses easily picking up upon so many voices of terror. Solranous, still misplaced as he was in the dimensions, decided to make the best of his time here by doing what he does best, that being fighting in the defense of those who cannot protect themselves.
Solranous quickly flew over the city, spotting the trouble with ease, before doubling back and setting down gingerly on an empty portion of the city, his landing surprisely light enough to barely cause a tremor.
"Well... City's probably not gonna escape with out a lot of damage... but at the very least I can buy the citizens enough time to escape..." the dragon whispered to himself, eyes narrowing at Corvosaurus Rex as he howled out a challenge to the other Kaiju.

Corvous narrowed his eyes at the opposing monster before opening his wings and with a sudden ear splitting call he rocketed up into the sky. With a few flaps his wings created storm clouds, quickly cloaking the avian as he tested the waters with a few bolts of Nega Lightning.
The blasts came down insanely fast, almost hitting the dragon who was using an energy shield to take the brunt of the damage. Slowly he stared up at the sky, perhaps his eyes may not be able to rip through the dark clouds as his foe, but his mind was more then strong enough.
Honing in on the massive bird's mind, the dragon threw up both his hands and opened his jaws. Quite suddenly three ray like beams shot forth, hitting the surprised raven in his chest and pushing him out of the cloud bank.
Solranous then floated into the air, slow at first until he picked up speed, aiming right for the bird who was just coming out of his shock.
Corvous saw this and quickly dived down, spinning upsidedown in mid air to rake his talons along the underbelly of the scaled titan while once again making his sharp caw heard in the sky. Letting all know that the Lord of the Dark Skies just drew first blood.

Solranous snarled as he clutched the bleeding wounds. That had been too close to his scar, a few meters higher and he would've been howling in agony. It was not uncommon for an enemy to wound him like that, it was his reason for developing regeneration in the first place.
Regardless, the middle of a fight was not the time to be thinking deeply. The dragon turned towards his avian foe. The use of electrical attacks suggested that his Giga Volt wouldn't be very useful, but he had many more options at his disposal.
Solranous opened up by drawing upon the power of his tamed dark half, forging six spheres of darkness around him.
"IMPULSE!" Solranous roared as he hurled the sphers of darkness at Corvosaurus Rex. The avian shrieked with pain as the spheres of dark energy slammed against his body, before snarling back at Solranous as much as one with a beak could, giving a strong flap of his wings.
Expecting another series of Nega Lightning bolts, and not having enough time to shield himself on this run, Solranous raised his arms to cover his chest scar. What he didn't expect was for a vortex to whip up around him, and for the bolts to come from the vortex itself, battering him from all angles.
"Damnit!" Solranous howled, trying to break free of the vortex, and only succeeding after a good amount of his body was scorched. He could feel that his energy levels were slowly dropping with each hit of Nega Lightning, and concluded correctly that the bolts were capable of sapping it away from their unfortunate victims.
Whether this energy was given to Corvosaurus Rex or not was at this time undeterminable, but another thing the dragon took note of was that with that flap of his wings another storm cloud began to form, possibly another effect of the lightning.
"I have to end this before the area becomes to dark..." Solranous muttered, switching his vision to infrared so that the darkness wouldn't effect him. However, he switched right back to normal upon being reminded that lightning was also extremely hot, and that the storm clouds apparently had lighting charged up within them, "This is getting frustrating"
The dragon aimed a claw at the air above Corvosaurs and began painting a star shape in the sky.
"STAR RAIN!" came the howl as Solranous threw his hand down, calling forth several bolts upon the avian, pelting him mercilessly. To the avian's credit, he remained air borne during the entire barrage, and shrieked angrily at Solranous as it ended, prepared to counter attack again.
"Not this time, STAR BURST FLARE!" Solranous interrupted, throwing his other hand forward as a ray of pure energy ripped forth from it, smashing into Corvosaurus Rex and throwing the avian off balance for a second. As he recovered, the avian snarled again at Solranous, who grinned back.
The avian never saw the evacuated building get uprooted in the midst of the previous attacks and start flying at the back of his head...

Corvous felt wind rushing from behind and turned just in time to get hit square in the chest, shoving the bird across the sky. The wind was knocked right out of the kaiju and it took a second to regain it, slowly he pushed his taloned wings against the building and shoved himself up.
Then as he and the dead weight began to fall, he gripped it with his talons, quickly beating his wings to pull off a mid-air flip which built up momentum before Corvous let it go.
Hie reptile foe blinked as the what he originally threw at the bird came right back at him. He pulled up his arms just in time, being hit in a hammer blow before forming an energy blade and slicing it into rubble.
Just as the dust began to clear he was hit in the shoulder by a bolt of pure black lightning, ripping at the very atoms that bound his flesh.
Solranous roared out in anger before tossing a bolt of normal lightning which hit Corvous' wing, stunning it for a second and causing the avian to drop from the sky, pulling in his legs and wings, waiting for the moment to open them again and stop his fall as the enraged dragon charged his falling attacker.

(OOC: Goddamn I'm having too much fun with this, and we haven't even gotten past the first page...)
Solranous snarled as he pursued his falling foe, intending to take advantage of his opponents apparently prone position. He was no stranger to playing possum, though, and the thought had crossed his mind.
It was a mistake that he would soon regret, for as soon as he was close enough to Corvous, the avain lashed out with both feet, smashing them into Solranous' face and causing the dragon to emit a mental howl of pain that all in the area could hear as opposing forces of momentum clash horrendously.
Solranous' momentum was too great at that point to be completely stopped, so he mananged to take advantage of the position they were in regardless, his maw opening wide before slamming down on the bird's still exposed legs before Corvous could pull away. The dragon decided to make use of his natural weapons' hidden trait, as a small quantity of energy went off from each fang in Corvous' legs, blood from the limb exploding out from the dragon's slightly parted jaws. Solranous mentally grinned as Corvous shrieked from the pain.
The dragon twisted twice in mid air, almost imitating a crocodile's death roll, before releasing his captive, the avian's body crashing against the ground and elicting another caw, whether from pain or some other source the dragon didn't really care about right now as he inspected his upper jaw in the moment of reprieve.
While he had sworn that his jaw had been broken by the impact of Corvous' feet smashing against his face, his feelings proved to be unfounded for the most part. Fractured, maybe, he didn't know, but definitely not broken. It wouldn't hinder him any if it was fractured, so he didn't care about it for now. His regeneration would heal it soon enough.
Now was the matter of the lightning. Solranous had fired that bolt half on instinct and half as an experiment, and so far the experiment suggested that Corvous was still susceptible to electrical damage, despite his usage of lightning himself, something that puzzled the dragon. Further experimentation is needed.
What he thought was only a moment, however, turned out to be much longer, Corvous had already recovered, taken flight again, and got right up in Solranous' face during the distraction of his thoughts, blasting him in the face with a full-powered nega lightning burst.
"GRAH!" Solranous howled as he was thrown back, grateful of his habit of crossing his arms over his chest while in thought, for it once again saved his chest scar from taking damage.
"I'm getting too lucky for my own good, one of these times he's going to hit me there, I just know it..." Solranous berated himself, refocusing on the battle and extending his arms out as electricity crackled between them.
"GIGA VOLT!" the dragon howled with fury as electricty ripped from the sphere that was generated between his hands, striking Corvous full on in the chest. The avian howled as it coursed through him and threw him back.
A new thought suddenly crossed Solranous' mind, perhaps he could still be injured by lightning because the electricity he uses is not of the normal variety. It would make sense, seeing as normal lightning did not have the properties Corvous' lightning held. The dragon filed this theory away in his mind as a reminder should he ever face the avian in combat again, as he had a habit of revisting old foes, whether he wanted too or not.
Solranous snarled as he saw Corvous had recovered from the last attack and was attmepting to take advantage of his distraction by thought again.
'Not this time.' Solranous told himself as energy coalesced on his wrist.
"COSMIC BLADE!" He howled as the sword re-erupted into existance. The dragon charged at Corvous, attempting to hack off the avian's wing. Corvous was quick enough to keep his wing, instead trading losing it with a decent gash in his chest, of which Solranous prevented from cauterizing, allowing it to bleed freely. Solranous snarled and pushed the avain away with his telekinesis as he started charging up more power then ever before.
"FROST STAR FLARE!" Solranous' voice boomed more loudly then his previous calls, as he fired off a massive beam of heat and cold energy at once, the beam easily dwarfing most others of the same variety, for the dragon had channelled twice as much power into this beam. The staggering power could be felt by Corvous as the beam swiftly closed on him, a direct hit possibly sealing how the fight would end...
(OOC: Clarification in case anybody asks, yes, Sol's second special ability is in effect here, count starts on Corvous' turn)

(Heh. These battles do become quite intense and insanely fun.)
A sudden flap was all that saved the bird from the full force of the damage. The small blast of Nega Lightning managed to slow the attack just enough, but the resulting explosion blasted the giant avian through a building and straight into the concrete streets.
Once again dust flew everywhere and the dragon began to "listen" for the other kaiju's mind, but all he got in return was pain and anger. Slowly Solranous raised one hand to ready a quick ray burst in case his foe was still fighting fit, then he strode into the clearing dust.
Everything was silent, save for a few human car alarms that were going off now and again. The monster kept his mind sharp, trying to get a bead on the shrinking rage that flowed from the still unseen avian.
But there was something that the dragon overlooked, though a child of the skies his foe was just as comfortable on land, with a cry of battle a blur shot out behind a cluster of buildings and smashed into the beast's chest. The clawed hands of Corvous dug in like that of a predatory dinosaur, his entire body just pulsing with the dark energies.
Having to deal with the extra weight of Corvous threw Solranous off guard for a moment and he stumbled to try and regain his balance. His hands moving to the thin wrists of the bird monster's hands, which in turn sat on the wings. But before he could start prying the feathered creature off, Corvous opened his beak to show another tie he had to his dinosaur cousins, long pointed fangs resting neatly in his bill.
Realization hit the reptile like a ton of bricks before those very fangs sank into his shoulder, ripping at the tough scales. This caused Solranous to press push harder against his attacker, but then the taloned feet came into play, stabbing into the monster's ample gut and further locking the two in a deadly game of strength.
If that wasn't enough, just when he gathered his mind the dragon felt the power of the raven grow, getting ready for a point blank blast with his strange lightning.
Well Solranous had a taste of that sort of pain and wanted nothing more to do with it, so in an moment of iron will he used his mental powers to blast the clinging avian away from him and into the side of a large building. But this move was not without it's own price, Corvous took some chunks of flesh with him.
The dragon howled in a mix of pain and battle lust before pulling back his arms and then sending the dark orbs of Impulse straight at the debris covered avian, swift in the air he might be and sure of foot on land, but these incoming pools or pure shadow would by all the dragon's hopes, end his foe...

(OOC: Ok, I'm confused as to why you ended your post with Solranous attacking... are you trying to make things more realistic, or what? Whatever, I was gonna blast you with that anyways, I'll just treat the attack in your post as my first for this post.)
Solranous roared in victory as his Impulse attack struck home, Crovous howling from the hits.
"At this rate, my victory is assured, even if my extra expended energy was wasted." Solranous muttered as he prepared for a counter attack.
None came immediately, causing the dragon to tilt his head in confusion. "Is he waiting for me to come to him? Well, if he is, he's about to get a rude awakening."
Focusing his mental prowess, Solranous extended a hand and made a grabbing motion. A shock screech confirmed that Corvous was waiting in ambush as the dragon forcibly yanked him out of his cover. He had to commend his foe, though, if only for a second, most avians, as far as he knew, weren't exactly able to take such a beating in these situations, but Corvous still seemed capable of fighting back, proven as he thrashed in Solranous' telekinetic grip.
The dragon charged at Corvous, punching twice in the avian's chest, winding it slightly, before whipping around as his three tail blades came into play, one slicing into Corvous' face, and the other two into his chest, all three leaving nasty explosions as Solranous released his grip, allowing the avian to be launched back.
Corvous wasn't about to take this with out replying in kind though, and sent several more bolts of Nega-Lightning screaming at Solranous' back, the dragon howling as the bolts tore into him, their power greater then ever and only becoming more powerful as time passed.
Grunting as the pain subsided minorly, Solranous' maw glowed with power as he faced Corvous again, "STAR BURST FLARE!"
With the howl came the tell tale stream of energy again from his maw, blasting corvous away and through several buildings as he was already off his feet.
The dragon tilted his head again as all when still. He didn't want to waste energy needlessly, but he didn't know if Corvous had survived intact enough to continue the fight after that last hit.
Taking caution, the dragon assumed a more defensive stance, ready to launch himself away or defend himself should Corvous prove battle worthy still.
(OOC: I felt like I was being pretty brutal with you, I wanna give Corvous a chance to catch his breath because I don't think he's faced an opponent of Solranous' power before.)

(I was just mixing it up since a post can only really end with an attack or waiting for your foe to attack. And on your other note, I built Corvous as my Godzilla to the rest of my monster roster so he can take a hell of a beating if needed.)
The bird struggled to his feet, reaching up with a flexible hand to feel a small dent in his beak, then Corvous opened his jaws to spit out a single rail road spike tooth. The corners of the avian's mouth turned upwards before a graveled caw fell from his throat followed by something new.
"Awk! Dagon you mite lool lik, but repile you sill aye!"
This set the other monster back, no longer was he fighting a kaiju bent on instinct alone, but this one had a highly developed brain and could speak...in broken English.
Corvous darted forwards again, his wings tucked against his body as small flecks of blood flew from the wounds in his chest, but the bird was too deep into the battle to care at the moment.
In a swift leap the raptor was falling towards the dragon and Sol was ready this time. He placed his arms up, ready to block or grapple with the other monster.
Corvous had another trick, angling his arms and wings he manage to breeze passed the top of the reptile's head, but it was close enough that Sol didn't expect it to miss. But before he could turn around the jaws of the raven bit into the back of his neck as the hand-claws ripped at the wing membranes of the dragon in an effort to ground him.
Sol howled in pain before flicking the tail up at the bird, only to have Corvous vanish into the sky with a quick flap. Clouds already formed as the avian tasted the air once again, before the dragon could summon up his god-like power he was struck in the chest by a thick bolt of Nega Lightning, ripping the scales right off the battling monster as the dark clouds continued to build around the kaijufide raven.

(OOC: Ah, alright. And that just means its Goji vs Goji in this case, Solranous was built to be the Godzilla of my roster as well. Arguably, he's the strongest amongst all my kaiju.)
Solranous howled as he fell to his knees, clutching desperately at his chest. That had done it. Corvous had finally struck him in his only weak point. Energy seemed to flare from around Solranous as the dragon lost control over his power.
The pain blinded him, locking him up like a statue there as energy continued to erupt from his body, causing minor winds that did little to change the battlefield.
'Damnit, Damnit, DAMNIT!' he mentally cursed, trying to keep track of the bird kaiju above him. He hoped that while Corvous was smart, he couldn't put two and two together and figure out four. Four being that hitting the chest scar severly hampered him, and that continuing to strike him there would bring the battle into Corvous' favor.
Finally managing to get a grip on the pain, Solranous hauled himself to his feet and glared up into the pitch black skies. His mind could perform two tasks at once, it wasn't too difficult. So, he locked on to the avian's mind as it flew over head and lifted himself with his telekinesis, his damaged wings habitually spreading to help guide him on the right course however little they could.
He didn't want to show too much weakness from being hit in his scar, so he cracked a smile at the hidden Corvous and replied, "To set the record straight, I am a dragon."
Solranous the roared and surged toward Corvous' hidden frame, the bird squaking, whether in surprise that he could still fly or anger that he just wouldn't stay down Solranous couldn't tell. The dragon lashed out at Corvous, nailing a claw swipe to the avian's face, catching an eye and causing the avain to screech again, this time from pain. Taking advantage of his opponent's minor distraction, Solranous spun in mid air, kicking the avain down. Corvous recovered before he hit the ground though, and flapped his wings, causing another vortex of Nega Lightning to surround Solranous.
The dragon howled as he was pelted again by the hellish lightning, managing to protect his chest scar this time. The rest of his body, however, wasn't as lucky. His wings were the worst off, he could've barely flown with them before, now he would be plummetting to the ground if it weren't for his telekinesis holding him up.
"You are one tenacious bird, you know that? I have to congradulate you on your ability to withstand damage." Solranous said sincerely to his avian foe.
"That doesn't mean I'm going to take it easy on you, though..." Solranous reaffirmed as his eyes narrowed.
The dragon roared with renewed fury, charging at Corvous again. The bird deftly winged out of the dragon's way, but Solranous quickly doubled back, catching Corvous' wing in his jaws as he bit down on it. Solranous threw Corvous away with a flick of his head, the avain screeching in protest as he tumbled about in the air before recovering again.
Solranous grinned to himself, for it appeared that his foe did not possess the gift of regeneration as he did, the wounds from the beginning of the fight gone while Corvous' seemed to persist on his body. All he really needed to do was wear the bird out, and he would be victorious.
Unfortunately, yet again, his musings gave Corvous the opening he needed, the avain launching more Nega Lightning bolts at him.
(OOC: Like you, just trying to spice things up. And I've never head anybody refer to Solranous as having god-like power before... does he really seem that strong?)

(A lot of my villains are made towards Corvous' weaknesses so I can't say he is the strongest of my group...for flat out power I would have to make it a toss between Trial and Byose. And no, Sol's power is quite fine, Corvous is a raven and as such tends to be over critical.)
Solranous was quick for a reptile, his foe had to give him that and the dragon showed it by dodging most of the blasts. But one of them was coming in too quickly, aimed almost perfectly at the strange scar that Corvous noticed in his earlier attacks.
The kaiju's eyes went wide before he grabbed at the first power that came to mind, this just so happened to be his Giga Bolt. The two bolts met in the air and just fizzed out, no boom or explosion...just gone. "Interesting..." The dragon mused as he started to get a better idea of the forces being brought against him.
Mean while, the raven was taking this time to catch his breath, though his body was light and bones hollow, he was dead set on out lasting this scaled upstart.
Corvous glanced up at the skies, which still held most of his black clouds from his flight not long ago. With a deep breath he started to draw power from them, negative static energy flashed down in the form of nega lightning and into the dark feathered bird. His body was becoming charged with it and soon he opened his wings and blasted a super charged bolt.
Solranous glared back before thrusting both arms forwards and creating his formidable Giga Volt. The trouble was that unlike the first blast in which the different forms of static energy were equal, the nega was charged, ripping right through the bolt like it was nothing and striking the dragon, making pain surge through every atom of his body before he felt his body forced back by the titanic force.
Corvous panted as he waited to see what would happen next, still a little hyper off the energy boost he now felt like he could battle on. Then a ray flashed from the mound of broken buildings, striking the bird in the still bleeding chest wounds as his foe focused on trying to recover from that last attack.

As he had begun to theorize, the clouds did indeed hold more of this strange lightning that his foe brought to bear upon him, and could be used to recharge the avian at anytime he so desired. It seemed he would have to reduce this factor if he was going to resume his assault upon the avian. The dragon growled and started pinwheeling his left hand, his telekinetic power changing the currents of air around them as a harsh wind began to blow in.
Such a wind had no chance of even bothering either kaiju, but such was not its purpose. It was serving its purpose just fine. Corvous cawed in shock as the winds started to blow his clouds away or apart, thinning the density of the cover and reducing the amount of energy he could charge up on.
"That should help tip the scales in my favor," Solranous muttered as he started to run at the onyx bird. The dragon howled with fury as he launched himself at his foe, clasping his jaws about the other's shoulder, returning the favor of fangs piercing flesh Corvous had given him earlier, but with his own twist. The energy that was housed in his natural weapons went off, exploding in Corvous' body again and further wounding the avian.
Solranous snarled and lifted Corvous up, the other's light frame allowing him to perform such a feet, before throwing the battered avian down against the ground.
"Surely you must be running out of stamina by now..." Solranous wondered. He didn't give the avian the chance to respond because he lifted Corvous up again with telekinesis, bring his tail blades into play again as they slashed at his already damaged chest, the dragon surprisingly opting not to detonate the charges held within.
He then lifted a leg and kicked Corvous in the chest, launching the avian away once more. The dragon narrowed his eyes at Corvous, who persisted in showing resilience by rising again.
The two charged at each other, and Solranous lashed out with his claws. Corvous, however, took wing and rose out of the path, coming back around and slashing at the dragon's back with his own claws, each of the charged with Nega Lightning to further the damage the dragon took. Solranous howled and shook the avian off, but the damage was done, his back sliced open by his foes weaponry.
The dragon howl, drawing a star pattern over Corvous' head again.
"STAR RAIN!" Solranous roared, throwing his arm down as energy bolts started to fall from the star in the air.
(OOC: If this goes on much longer, we might see craters in Corvous...)

(Nah, he will last.)
Corvous then grabbed the dragon's tail and with great effort he quickly swung Solranous up and onto his shoulders. The reptile could hardly believe it as the raven used him as a shield against his own attack, which he quickly disabled so as not to be hit.
Corvous could barely hold the monster above his head, had he been at full strength he would of been able to do much better. The avian focused his energy and used a high powered nega lighting shot to blast the dragon up and off him.
Then as his foe sailed through the sky he tossed another bolt to strike the kaiju in the chest, aiming right for the scar to make him bellow out in pain.
But before the wounded beast hit the ground he blasted a ray beam that raced towards the panting bird as a loud boom was heard in the background form the falling beast.

Solranous grumbled in both shock and frustration as he righted himself, seeing that his hastily aimed counter attack had struck home, Corvous falling over from the explosive force.
"I'm honestly quite stunned that he managed to lift me up like that..." Solranous muttered, wincing again from being hit in his chest scar. The bird had clearly realized striking him there caused more damage then normal, and he had to beat the avian down before he got ahead of the dragon. It was time to stop holding back.
His feathered foe clearly thought the same as he once more summoned a mighty vortex of nega lightning around Solranous, the dragon gritting his teeth as the hellish bolts tore at him once again, but he was far from finished. No, he had far to much to live for, far to much to return to should he ever find a way back home. Images of his comrades back in his home dimension flashed before his eyes, and Solranous felt his determination to thrive, to be victorious, be renewed once more.
"YOU WILL NOT EMERGE FROM THIS FIGHT WITH VICTORY!" Solranous howled with fury as he charged at Corvous. The avian squawked in pain and suprise as Solranous hook punched him from the right of the face, causing his head to jerk left, before being palmed back, forcing Corvous to take a step back to remain upright. As the avian pulled himself back, his lower jaw was introduced to Solranous' foot, curtousy of the dragon as he back flipped, landing on his hands and swing his legs. The impact was enough to launch Corvous up into the air as Solranous flipped back to his feet.
The dragon then started the end of his combo by levitating himself up and above Corvous, then propelling his body down at full speed, his feet smashing into Corvous' chest and sending both dragon and avian plummetting. Solranous directed their descent so that Corvous crashed into one of the few remaining buildings and was pushed through every floor it had before being crushed against the ground by Solranous' weight.
The bird wheezed painfully as the wind was quite literally stomped out of him, Solranous jumping off of the bird and yanking a support beam from the building he just demolished. The dragon twirled it around in his hands as Corvous started to rise again, and once he had gotten to his feet, Solranous clubbed him upside the head with the beam with as much force as he could muster, knocking the avian back down yet again.
Solranous snorted at his fallen foe, raising his make shift club again and attempting to bring it down upon the avian's skull.
(OOC: Sometimes I even scare myself with what I have Sol do to an enemy...)
