“A ruler who relies solely on straightforward openness and truth…how nice,” Zajen chortled. “And here I was thinking that the majority of politicians DID do what came naturally to them…bullshitting around, anyway. Very good…it’s rare to find a people aside from ourselves who put more of an emphasis on actions, rather than words. In any case, rest assured that you will be remembered, at least in our annals and records. We are very good at archiving and passing along information.”
“Hah…” Syphriss continued to chuckle. “And yet it is unfortunate that it is often necessary to conceal the truth, or at least bend some of it, if you do not lie, due to the nature of others…what a truly entertaining universe it would be, if everyone followed their instincts, rather than hiding or denying them.” As an afterthought, he added, “Rather chaotic, as well. Reproduction and nourishment take precedence over all else, and the next thing…”
“Well, I’m sure you and the Bartosians can reach some sort of compromise,” Zajen went on. “I can assure you that our record with our own contacts is virtually pristine. We see no point in ‘burning our bridges,’ so to speak, unless they betray us first. We as well firmly believe in speaking one’s mind, which is probably why our species is so inept at courtesies and welcomes, as you yourself have just experienced…but perhaps we will be getting along better than I first expected. Very good indeed.”

Saberon snickered and started to stand, taking a final bite off of the arm before dropping it coolly on the table, making it flop on its side, now missing every finger with multiple teeth marks. Licking his blood stained lips with his forked tongue, he finished by smearing the remains of the ooze, and his saliva, on his arm.
"It's been fun." He said, nodding and extending his hands to both Syphriss and Zajen, "I look forward to... future battles." He declared, shaking Zajen's hand and then Syphriss'. After ordering his guards to pick up the caged beasts, he looked back at the two Deities. "We're working on a new base in D.C. Come over and visit us, some time... Partners."
Manticore whined in his crate, bashing his side and legs into it. One of the guards dropped his side, making it bash on the ground, chipping the corner. With a heave, the reptile picked it up again...
Rudolph reached into his coat and pulled out a bundle of files paper clipped together. "You might find these interesting." He said, laying them on the table. Inside the files was documented information on his unique Nanobot research, various power formulas, and his God-playing ways of creating hybrids.

Before either Deities could respond, however, Saberon's wrist band became active. The voice of Garan came aloud. "What is it?" The tyrant asked with a hiss, glancing over at his guards whom were heading to the door with the cargo.
"We've discovered an unknown race." Garan told him, "Heading directly for Earth?"
"Christ. Another one?" The reptile moaned, shaking his head to side, "What type?"
"Toaster ovens, sir." Garan said coolly, "We also just had in a run in with... Beyonders... Think that's what they called themselves."
"... Beyonders?"
"Yeah. You have an angry squid looking to talk with you. Long story." The spiky one replied, "What should I do about these machines?"
"Meh." Saberon shrugged, "Can't eat 'em. See if it's in their programming to form alliances, or if they need a schematic. You have my go ahead to do so."
"That's a shocker." Garan retorted with a hiss, "If they decline?"
"Spam them with bad E-mails, I don't know. God knows we killed billions, we should be able to handle some electric blow up dolls with ray guns."
"I'll do my best." Garan assured, ending the transmission.
Both Deities looked dumbly at Saberon. He smiled and hissed.

“Hmph,” Syphriss grunted, standing up. All around him, the rest of the scientists, anxious to return to their work, were already making for the various doors and exits around the room, carrying their equipment. Several others came in out from the sides, already beginning to clean up the room for future use. “Well, time is wasting. We had all better be going, then…wars to fight, organisms to devour, shit to annihilate…” Turning on his heel, he spun and strode out with his men.
Zajen remained leaning in his chair, watching as the guards pulled Manticore away, smirking as the guards struggled with the kaiju containers. With his one remaining hand, he reached out and took Rudolph’s papers, rapidly skimming and taking in the information with the skilled eyes of one experienced with speed-reading for important content. He gave a whistle at the hybrids and formulas and gave a nod of approval at the nanobots. “Ha, very good, very good…”
However, another Deity stepped briskly into the room and handed a laminated plastic report to his commander from over the shoulder, cutting off further comments. Wordlessly accepting the paper, Zajen’s focus swiftly went from Rudolph’s research to the escalating developments. Putting two and two together with Saberon’s rapid conversation, Zajen looked up and arched a meaningful eyebrow at the lizard. Saberon smirked back as he stood as well, preparing to join the rest of his men. “Indeed, time is wasting…you’ve no doubt got grand schemes for the rest of the races, particularly…” Here he checked his sheet again. “…ones in ships with ‘virtually no organic life’ registering in them, hmm?”
Syphriss returned and slipped several sheets across the table back to Rudolph, as well as a kit of several syringes filled with liquids. “A brief summary on regenerative capabilities. The kaiju we have out there may be very harsh on the eyes, by you should be easily able to derive ways of rapidly increasing healing speed with this. There’s some other theory in there that we haven’t applied in any monsters or weapons directly yet, but there are plenty of ways to bypass anti-regenerative attacks, and even more ways to stop it…leaving energy trails in the aftermath of an attack, we believe, could ‘fill’ the wound; most ‘end-all’ anti-healing capability assaults are derived from the belief that people need at least several remaining molecules to regenerate and that they can break through just by defying the laws of conservation of matter. Have parts of your body separate from the main, defy the law yourself, haha…
“Syringes should get a few of your bodies functioning at something MUCH closer to maximum capacity for now,” Syphriss said with a grin, “if you so desire. Less energy input, more output… There’s much more, but that won’t really fit on paper, we can send it to you later.”
“Bah,” Zajen shook his head, cutting off his comrade, “that’s enough, I’m sure we all have somewhere to go. Standing to go as well, he chuckled, “We’ll be sure to visit D.C. later on, I’ve heard that the leaders of that country might have some tasty secrets buried around there. Our men will probably have to be working as a clean-up crew for our own monster at least, in the aftermath of the battle…” Here he waved idly at the screen.
“Don’t forget to bring gifts,” Saberon laughed.
“Mmm,” Syphriss replied, rubbing his stomach with one hand. “Fresh meat, hahaha…” He picked up another half-eaten arm and waved it goodbye at the Klenthurian as he turned to leave as well, an image rather ruined by the mostly devoured wrist giving way and the hand tumbling off. With a snort, he tossed it down and departed as well, one or two other Deities coming in to being removing the remaining mess.
